And before you respond with e.g. "the Great Reset conspiracy" no one has ever detailed or explained properly what that is. These are really vague personal notions that change dramatically from one person to the next. Someone claims it's a some Communist plot, another claims Satan is involved, yet another thinks the "NWO" is taking over - none of them ever explain or detail what these conspiracies in any coherent way.
It's a whole bunch of abstract innuendo being referring to as a "conspiracy" that literally no one can explain.
In short I think that conspiracy can be summed up as global elites using the covid 19 pandemic as a way to seize control of the global economy. This is my interpretation of the conspiracy but then again like most groups “conspiracy theorists” don’t tend to agree on particulars and all will have a different spin on it. This is not unsurprising.
and before you start with the 20 questions or asking me for sources you know don’t exist, I’m not saying I believe this, I’m giving you a brief outline of what the conspiracy theory is.

Not a lot of reading back to catch up with the entirety of Gortannas position that they have presented. Yes, it's a bit lacking in detail, but that tends to be how conspiracies are presented and why we have to ask questions to attempt to discover what it is that is actually being suggested.

Okay, but several posters in here were claiming that these "elites" were using Covid 19 to deliberately destroy their economies. Which completely contradicts the above.

Do I think that replacing or even reducing our consumption of red meat and adding insects to our diet is a horrifying thought and an attack on our freedom and way of life? Yes
Do I think that car ownership (which is ridiculously expensive as it is) will become unattainable for vast majority of poorer people if they ban diesel and petrol cars? Yes I do.
Do I think the the WEF, have jumped on the idea of lockdowns and restrictions as a way to reduce our carbon emissions? Yes I do, Klaus Schawb writes about it in his book, that we will have to go to university at home and do fitness classes over zoom etc to reduce our carbon emissions ( while he jets around in his private plane). Again some of you think this is fine or a good idea but I see it as an affront to my way of life at the moment.
Now before someone says “it’s a forum for ideas” or “they’re just articles from people who think about what MIGHT happen” etc It’s called the Great Reset not the Great thought experiment, and these are some of the most influential and powerful people in the world, If they want something I’d imagine it would be quite simple for them to leverage governments to do it.

Could you explain how he plans on banning people from eating meat and owning cars?
Just on the cars thing and 2030. Are they conflating the proposed ban on NEW internal combustion engines in 2030 with a ban on private car ownership?
Do you think he has been able to explain the motivations behind the conspiracy to make measures permanent?

How exactly would Tesco selling insect burgers in the isle next to the cow burgers, lamb burgers and next row over from the tofu and soy burgers be horrifying or an attack on anyone's freedom?
That would be increasing your choices to purchase more sustainable foods. And nobody would be forced to eat any of those options.
And why is this abhorrent when it would be also next to frozen prawns and a few aisles away from lobster and crab?
I understand not liking the idea of eating bugs. I don't, but I also don't like shellfish.

Cool but I've eaten steaks, burgers, fish etc throughout the pandemic. This has never been threatened or at risk. Lockdown restrictions supposedly being permanent yet I'm able to go to restaurants, pubs and cinemas again.
In terms of reducing consumption of red meat, from a health perspective most people should be reducing intake. But nothing to do with covid. Also there's no reason to assume cars will become unattainable, it's like saying since computers were once expensive, they will always be expensive. Once again nothing to do with covid. You say you worry about poor people not being able to drive however the reality is ignoring climate change will by default hit poorer people to a greater degree. That will span generations.
You most definitely cannot relate your claims to COVID though as it has nothing to do with the things you've been discussing.

This again? Have you? No you haven’t. I’ve said loads of times previously I haven’t read it, main reasons being it’s hard to get it for free online, all in all its not meant to be a very good read and also I don’t want to give that guy anymore money.
The parts that are available online I have read and what I referred to is DEFINITELY in the book, check if you want.
So if you haven't actually read what the guy says, how can you be sure you know what his evil plans are?
Where did you read the parts you claim to have read? Are they on websites promoting conspiracy claims?
