Hot FM (91.0) and Chill FM (87.6) are no longer broadcasting.
I heard one of the West Dublin relays I think you are referring to on 98.4 recently, RDS was "80s" (at the same time "Eighties" was on 94.3). I usually pick up these around Liffey Valley.
I heard a local blank carrier on 91.6 last Friday evening. I presume Phever was relayed on this at some point in the evening.
I have just noticed that Chill FM is online, like a lot of evacuees over the last two years from FM.
Hot FM also streaming (just about), although none of their former domain names are active and they've no TuneIn entry either. It's essentially gone.
Broadcasting on FM is not worth the risk/hassle/expense.
Weekend popup stations seem to have got away with it so far, although you can imagine ComReg will tackle these at some point.
Spirit Radio on 549 kHz MW appears to be currently off air, tried it on car radio just now, not there
Regarding the Phever relay - yes, this was on yesterday (Friday) on 91.6 with RDS "Musica".
Anything to report out there fellas?
doubt it, likely just the usual weekend and low power operators already mentioned in the thread.
looks like it really is dead this time unfortunately, RIP.
Spirit Radio's AM transmission 549kHz remains off the air for the past number of days, any news of this?
Other medium wave news. Early morning 11 Oct good signal on 927 kHz, supposed to be only 1 KW from Milan. Announcing Power 927 between pop songs. Around the same time I heard an Irish presenter Chris Kennedy on Radio Seagull 1476 good signal. I read that he use to be on Caroline.
The Dundalk pirate was off air for a while, but now back on 1611. Played old Radio Fax tapes for a while, including reading long sections of the 1988 Irish Radio and TV Act. I can hear them weak on the North West SDR, probably now back to playing old Radio Sovereign tapes. I never once heard any current announcement on the station. They will probably go back to 1494.

Chris Kennedy is Steve Conway's older brother. Steve was with Radio Caroline before, during and after Chris's stint there. At one stage, they were the only presenters on the station - Steve refers to this in his book about his time with Radio Caroline! Re Radio Seagull, Steve did a stint there as well. It's a legal Dutch offshore station.
I wonder will the time come here that there will be more MW pirates than FM pirates, especially once those weekend FM pirates call it a day, or permanently merge together, as some have been doing on an ad-hoc basis.
SW England stations very strong in East Kerry today. BBC nationals from North Hessary Tor, BBC Cornwall (95.2/103.9), BBC Devon (103.4), Heart (96.2/107.0) all clear and listenable (dependent on interference from local signals).
87.8 RTE R1 with clear mono making a good trip down from Clermont Carn almost 170 miles to me (car radio) when I tried earlier this afternoon (and not well placed for that direction either, parked some miles west of Cork city near the main road N22). Could make out Lyric from there on 95.2 but a good bit weaker. The 95.2 Cornwall is very difficult/elusive to ever hear (at least in places more east) unless its coverage has been increased recently in some directions to try and cover blackspots after their MW closure last year? so surprised you were getting that one well. I had no sign of it where I was (though was getting BBC nationals 88.1 etc on the edge of stronger RTEs this afternoon ). CYMRU audible on 96.8
95.2 came in once before near Cork City but it was during a very dominant opening to Cornwall (Redruth BBC nationals were strongest), it came in strong with Devon on 94.8 and Heart on 96.2
Very strong opening to Cornwall in West Cork at 5pm today. Redruth nationals and Heart/103.9 BBC Cornwall by far the strongest on the band along with a number of signals from France with RDS. As of now the entire band is full of Redruth/North Hessary Tor nationals and about 70/80 signals from Spain. All stable but weak enough to not display RDS. Will post full band scans later.
This entire week looks very hopeful for signals from the UK and coastal France/Spain around Co. Cork.
All the pirates (what's left of them) in Dublin tend to be weekend affairs only now. What about outside Dublin - are all the pirates around the country on weekends only or any broadcasting during weekdays, especially during the day?
Storm NE is still on air weekends only on FM 104.2 and 24-7 on North East Freedab which can be picked up in Dundalk only.
That's good to know. However, I was just wondering are there any pirates in Ireland now that regularly broadcast on the radio on weekdays.
Cork is down to just CityView in the evenings on 97.6 and a relay of Radio Caroline on the weekends on 107.0. There’s an evening pirate on 87.5 in Carrigaline too
Tralee has a full time pirate, Beat FM on 104.8
That's interesting that Beat FM is full time.
As a matter of interest, what is the name of the pirate from Carrigaline? Is that a recent entry? I don't remember hearing about it in previous bandscans for Cork.
At this stage, weekday evening pirates are becoming rarer as far as I can see.

Excellent logs marno21. What radio and antenna were you using. Car radio?
Thanks WHL. Monday was some of the best reception conditions I've seen for UK stations in West Cork. Driving around with 92.5 Radio 4 solid as a rock for PM.
Car radio as standard, 2016 Kia with whatever antenna the car has itself. Very good radio for weak signals. AM is horrific on it but the FM selectivity is super.
Could anyone recommend a short wave long wire to connect to a Roberts radio antenna?
I used to be clued up on this when I was a teen but haven't a clue now
Radio waves very quiet at the moment since CLUB FM went off line
CLUB FM DUBLIN just posted on Facebook their back on air on LIVE RADIO and working on returning to other platforms.
just saw that there now, good news and they are sounding well.
Here are stations that I picked up at various stages over the weekend in various parts of Dublin and east Meath.
FM:
92.0 - Retro FM (oldies) - only on today
94.3 - Retro FM during live broadcast today. Think it was relaying Eighties earlier in the weekend.
96.0 - ABC 80s
102.5 - Ice Radio (dance) - only heard today
107.1 - RetroNow (dance)
MW:
1395 kh (215 metres) - Energy Power AM (oldies) - Retro FM during live broadcast today. Otherwise its own selection.
Freedom fm finishing today? Was it only ever a temporary licence?
it was a temporary license yes.
it will still continue on line.
Why - did you think it was a permanent license? You can't just apply for a permanent license and off you go! There has to be an announcement of a competition first seeking expressions of interest and applications.
On the bandscan front, I don't think The Beach (or its alter ego Star1057!) was on this weekend - certainly not any time I checked.
