No one looks ridiculous. You're making the mistake of believing that because the same 4 or 5 posters keep saying 'debunked', 'loons' etc that it means that brianhere was wrong.
Where I would disagree with brianhere is on 'all measures being permanent'. I believe some will be, not all. As much as I don't consider the few small things that have changed to be a relaxation of restrictions, I have to be realistic and acknowledge that people do believe they were restrictions. I guess I've always been focused on the big ones, i.e. masks (in particular), vaccine passports, social distancing and lockdowns.
No need to give up.
Just answer the questions you keep ignoring and running away from.
It's pretty easy.
Why... Why... Why?
You won't answer
i dont need anyone here to say "debunked" or "loon" to be able to tell with 100% clarity that the title to this thread is complete and absolute bullsh!te .
All Covid-19 measures are not permanent.
that fact has already been borne out, and just because you dont understand this, do not make the author correct.
and again, just because you say " i believe" before a statement does not make that statement factual nor does it protect you from ridicule for holding those beliefs.
Where is the evidence that there will be permanent mask restrictions and lockdowns, or that it is due to some conspiracy?
Even in Australia and New Zealand which have had great results at keeping covid at bay, but relatively disastrous vaccine rollout, have not had to bring in country wide masks requirements or winter lockdowns. They just shut things down locally when cases rose and escaped from their quarantine. Now they are getting further along with vaccination, and accepting a certain level of cases rather than aiming for zero, they are back to doing things more normally. No sign of the permanent restrictions that you envisage and they are a winter season ahead of us.
No. You and your fellow conspiracy theorists look very ridiculous.
It's been 230 pages of you guys doing everything except answer a simple and direct question like "Why?"
You keep claiming to believe that some measures will be permanent. It's taken us a few hundred pages to just tell us which.
You haven't been able to explain why any of them will be permanent.
You can't explain what you believe at all.
You are claiming that this restrictions will be permanent for no reason and no benefit.
That's ridiculous. It makes you look ridiculous.
Yea... but that's those countries. He's talking about Ireland. At least until it suits him to talk about other countries. Or he wants to hint at the global conspiracy again or another conspiracy theorist wants to claim the vaccines are fake.
It's been 230 pages of you sealioning people King Mob..
Same as every other thread here..
What's going to be permanent and why?
So far we have masks and vax passports... And no why, can you answer?
theres not been one reasonable post in this whole 230 page thread from a conspiracy theorist to say "why" it may be that all covid 19 measures are permanent.
you cannot sealion the unreasonable.
if you think you can, then you dont know what sea-lioning means.
Lol. You guys keep using this cute little word you learned recently.
However, it's not accurate. It's a bullshit term you and your buddies want to use to justify ignoring questions you find uncomfortable.
What's wrong with the question I'm asking?
Are you not curious about why all these measures are going to be permanent?
Can conspiracy theorists not answer this?
And don't forget dressing rooms being closed.
Gortanna, it was perfectly possible to exercise during lockdown. One does not need a running track to run.
Like the accusations of trolling, this is just another term which conspiracy theorists in here don't understand the meaning of.
Along with the words "permanent" and "all".
Yep. And the new thing is insisting on replying to posters who have him on Ignore.
That's not the point. If they cared about health then they wouldn't have closed all the healthy places and left all the unhealthy places open.
How is brianhere wrong exactly? What, apart from a few crumbs, has eased in terms of restrictions? And the latest is that Ireland is on a knife-edge, according to Philip Nolan. The only country in the world on a knife-edge with over 90% of the eligible population vaccinated.
It's in the opening post. The reasons why.
Nope. I'm Just pointing out all the issues with the claims being made and in particular with yourself the dozens of questions you are ignoring because you can't address them.
The fact you claim to have me on ignore doesn't really practically change anything. You were ignoring my points the entire time.
The thing is that people can see what I'm pointing out and how it shows your conspiracy theories to be childish, dishonest nonsense.
They also see that you are unable and unwilling to show otherwise. They see that the only tactic you have available is to run, plug your ears and whine.
Again, it's been 230 pages. You can't explain your own conspiracy theory.
Do you not wonder why?
They shut down places where there tends to be a large amount of people. Gyms etc have the added risk of heavy breathing, lots of sweating. They basically shut down viral petri dishes. Takeaways were generally operating on a collection or contactless delivery option. So while it may hit your cholesterol, I'm pretty confident that you can't demonstrate increased spreading of the virus via takeaway food...
You're acting as if lockdown made it impossible to live a healthy lifestyle and that's nonsense.
No, they are not. No reasons are presented in the opening post.
And as far as I know Brianhere believes that the conspiracy is a global plot to install a global communist government. Do you agree with this? I think if anyone accused you of believing this, we'd hear no end to the feigned offense of being lumped in with such a ridiculous claim.
But the claim cannot be made that they care about health. They care about covid. There's a difference. When have they ever done anything about mental health? When have they said anything about eating right and exercising?
I'm not saying it made it impossible. I'm saying it made it very difficult.
For a young healthy 20 year old, which is better: 20 laps or 20 kebabs? The 20 year could buy 20 kebabs, but couldn't go to the running track to run 20 laps.
Who forces 20 year olds to run around a running track when there are parks, roads, fields, beaches they can run on?
Who forced 20 year olds to eat kebabs while the gyms were closed?
Why are you spouting such nonsense?
It's a highly transmittable virus, so yep we had to respond differently. Not exactly shocking. Our health service would literally have collapsed without a lockdown. So countless deaths including of health care workers. Even more cases of long covid. So ya, I'm fine with them closing down gyms and the likes.
Also the scenario you seem to prefer would have untold consequences on the mental health of the entire nation. Like we have a trauma from what we faced. But it would be far worse if we just let the virus run rampant.
what was stopping you running around a field?
Could run 5k from the house. So 10k in total. Or do it twice = 20k. They couldve ran for 24 hours if they wanted.
As for mental health - heres a starter for 10
Buty why do you need the government to tell you to eat right and excercise?
Why does it have to be 20 laps? If said running track is 1 km around then yes they would do 20 laps tracks closed so just run 20 km elsewhere, it's really not rocket science you know.
Was some quite detailed calculations carried out in the running forum I seem to recall. Could easily run a marathon distance without ever going 5km from your front door or running along the same road twice (depending on your local roads).
5km out, 30km plus around in a circle, and a 5km back again. Pick the right roads for multiple out and back to your front door and you can even setup your own personal water station, which I did for one of my virtual London Marathon runs back in the early lockdowns, although I didn't have the 5km limit to deal with anyway.
For the record, I do think the government is crap in terms of its approach to mental health services but it doesn't negate the need we had for a lockdown. However nothing prevented one from exercising during lockdown. I've pretty much done 30-40km each week for the last year in terms of running. So in the vast majority of cases, most people were capable of exercising without a gym.
The goalposts will shift now to
"oh but what about the people who like to do cross country skiing, how could they possibly train?"
