RTE's new 8 episode gangland drama with an all star cast.
AMC start date is September 9th I can't see a start date for RTE just a coming soon.
What Con could have done when he got the text showing his son tied up was ring Eamon.
Eamon could have then sent lads around to the house to take out those 2 Kinsella's while Con was "on his way to meet Mikey". Or the other solution was to bring someone with him to meet Mikey, then adbuct Mikey.
There's some many holes. Amanda sends her son away so he's safe yet Mikey is ok with Anna floating around and doesn't have any worries about her getting involved.
so Mikey robs Eammon's stash which came on a full pallet, he transferred it to his van which was bursting with it when he closed the door ... next scene Frank asks him how much did you get...
60kg of coke and 80kg of heroin says Mikey
That's 140kg.
How does a stuffed van only add up to 140kg. Is Mikey keeping some for himself I wondered, then just said to myself 'don't question this show too much'
Anyway it's watchable. Nice shots of Dublin, even a scene at The Brock Inn
That place Mikey went to watch his daughter dancing, was that the Sean O'Casey centre? Looked like it with the round windows but the surrounding area in the same shots seemed wrong
You do know it's not real time, real life locations?
Interior and exterior shots don't always match up, only people who happen to know the area well would even question that.
Yes, I do
I was talking about the external shots as it happens
Frank overdose on coke???
I've squeezed more party in, in a half an hour than the whole lot of them did in a whole night.
What are they having a party for anyway, they have gear that they cant sell, they just have bigger targets on their back.
No mention of any overall plan to shoot cunningham or to take over his business empire somehow. Whats the end game??
Conor McGregor Lite
Why did the kidnappers/attackers at the start wear high vis vests? i would imagine the last thing they want is to be highly visible?
Other than that, there was some progression at least but still nothing amazing so far
I've not seen him in anything else but this is certainly either a dreadful performance or shockingly bad script, honestly I think it's a combination of both , the same childish , aggressive rant every time he opens his mouth awful to watch, worse to listen too.
The thing is, theres lots of lads that act that way - wannabe McGregors... 🙄
We keep hearing about it leading up to something, a grand finale so to speak but I thought at the very least the script writers might actually think it might be a good idea to keep viewers engaged, rather than putting them to sleep.
So bad was last night episode, I was more curious as to why the walls in the back garden/patio of Frank's Gaff weren't painted or at least washed .
The most riveting (liberally) part was Amanda poorly pretending she was brushing her teeth with an electic toothbrush whilst hubby walks up beside her to have a slash.
Utterly Dull, Gripping it certainly is not and any attempt at menace is just farcical and completely unbelievable.
There's more holes in the script and story line than Swiss Cheese.
O I'm not doubting it but gosh, the writers could have made something out of this Character, he just comes across as pathetic and irritating.
But being objective I have to admit he reminds me of the odious Conor Mc Gregor, so perhaps that adds to my distain of the character 🤔
Yes it was.
I dunno, while I’m not mad about Eric as a character, he is more or less believable - the stupid macho hothead stuff is at least ‘his thing’. Annoying, but you could see it happening.
For me, Jimmy of the menacing whisper and the constipated expression is just the worst. I just don’t buy him at all. Mostly I just want to laugh when he’s on screen.
Jimmy was nearly balling his eyes out when he found out that Viking shot at Moore first and that Moore shot back in retaliation and killed Jamie. Was a strange reaction.
Couldn't agree more re Jimmy but I'd go further, I'm finding the entire cast and series at this stage laughable to be honest 😁
Because if Viking hadnt started it his son( he thought of him as his son ) would be still alive
No going back
its aload of gak
pure muck
And yet, even after five weeks, you're still watching. And complaining.
Like most people it would seem , perhaps you could enthrall us as to what qualities you see in this utter tripe
And yet, thats allowed .. !😯
I'd put money on it. And it'll be left hanging at the end of the season whether he's dead or not.
Couldn’t say it better myself
it’s amateurish, lazy, boring, cliche ridden rubbishy fare
Frank will not be dead by the end of season 1 but he will be pissed with Amanda for going behind his back in order to try and broker a truce deal with Cunningham. (Episode 8)
She'll meet to broker a deal, as a way to get him where she wants, so Mikey can kill him. Leaving Mikey and Amanda as the leaders of the family, and Jimmy will be all pissed about it, as he wasn't involved, cause he's a hot head.
He was in Raw...
I'm very nearly out of this one which is a shame, I like most of the cast but this is a bit pants. Shame, so much potential.
There's people on here asking why people keep watching if it's so bad, it's partly, in my case that it might get better but my god how wrong I've been 😏
Same here - plus I want to find out what happens, but jaysus it's a fairly tortuous process!
