This is exactly what I’m doing so fingers crossed we’re covered! Also going to try and have something for derived/unenumerated rights but I think it might be a bit premature. Given he kind of flagged it as a ‘watch this space’ topic in his lecture - he might wait until there has been a bit more judicial commentary on it?
Yeah I don't imagine it would be specifically about derived rights more maybe a general essay on unenumerated rights that has come up before where he is looking for you to mention the "watch this space"? Who knows how his brain works though.
Good to hear you are doing more or less the same because I wasn't sure was I reading too much into recent caselaw and getting into a hole, forgetting the basics or not!
If anyone else has any ideas for constitutional I'd love to hear, no doubt we can all do with all the help we can get.
I wouldn't have a sample answer but if a note Q does come up for it I'll likely just run through the cases - Strong v Bird, Re Stewart, Re James, Re Gonin, Re Wilson, Re Freeland. They are typically half of one question so you wouldn't need too much detail I'd say. I'm just going by the City Colleges manual.
Anyone else have the oh crap feeling about Constitutional? Hahaha
Yes I don't know how anyone passes!
i felt like this after my constitutional exam - one question was completely made up and 2-3 paragraphs long and I passed quite comfortably! He allows so much room for different interpretations! Don’t worry!!!
This is great to hear! Brain went into meltdown with the amount of topics and cases. Trying to pick out the topics in the past papers is tough!
Here you go! The new examiner was Dr Neil Maddox, he also set the paper in March 2020
Thanks a lot, appreciate it 👍🏻
Thanks!
That paper will haunt me for a while 😂. I think he's usually the external examiner, so little bit surprising he went so off course but hey, it's done now - fingers crossed!
EDIT:- oh no sorry Raymond Murphy is the usual external but apparently Maddox is a know replacement for Aisling Parkes.

Just going to leave this here - I sound like a pure Mammy but I hope you're all taking a bit of time for yourselves this weekend. Your mental health is just as important as the Fe1s!!!! 🙌
I am so f*d over a hedge for Constitution.
Is Greg doing any exams this sitting
Does anyone have sample answers for Equity for the last three sittings? Can swap for other materials
(Also, is anyone else already feeling fairly wrecked at this stage? 😂😭 )
Anyone making predictions for equity?
Exhausted and feeling run down, they're such a slog 😂
Completely shattered and finding the information just won't go in anymore. Too far down the rabbit hole now but still asking myself why? 😂
are people focusing on any particular personal rights for constitutional? so many
What's everyone doing for EU?
My notes on personal rights themselves has -
Then Unenumerated Rights include -
I additionally have notes then on property rights, freedom of expression and equality but they're more standalone.
EU
Hi would anyone have a script for the March 2020 paper or August 2020 please?
Thank you
Does anyone have any predictions for equity? Or does anyone know what injunction q came up last year or is likely to come up this year?
It was Mareva on the last sitting. Mareva and mandatory interlocutory come up the most so probably a decent chance we'll see a mandatory one on this paper.
Hey all, does anyone know what the pass rate is like for contract?
An LSRA report for 2017 said the FE1 Contract Law exam pass rate among those who sat it in Mar 2017 was 68% and for Oct 17 it was 60%. I haven't seen figures from them since then.

Does anyone have notes/ summary on DPP V Hannaway that they could share? thanks so much
Anyone know how the examiner for Equity is? I look at the past exam papers and they all seem fairly straightforward. The questions are easy to understand and there are very few curveballs. It appears that if you know the topic then you shouldn't have much trouble answering any given question but I hear that Equity has one of the highest failure rates out of them all.
Totally agree, once you have the topics covered in depths it doesn't seem too bad. There must be a very high standard needed for a pass? The pass rate just seems mad really! Anyone have any insights? I think they changed interns recently?
Did penalty clauses come up on the March 2021 contract paper does anyone know?
