Congrats Mad Lad well deserved! Meanwhile my wait continues 😩😩🤣
Can't really be of much help except to state the obvious..
Presume you didn't have the reduced charging speed button pressed? And that your car came with a 32A 3 phase cable? Mine only came with a 16A 3 Phase cable which is fine if machine is 3 phase AC, gets the full 11kW. But only gets what you received if on single phase AC. Multiple charging hasn't been a problem for me so far..
Did you post about this on the ID Owners Forum on Facebook? I saw something very similar on there earlier.
No, I have no Facebook account, deleted it years ago.
Link ? I might be able to see it.
Cheers, yeah the wait is a killer, the car is only 6.5 kms away and I can't drive it for another 3 days lol.
Delighted for you @mad lad
ive seen a couple of stonewashed blue around town. It’s a lovely colour.
watch out for the petrol station just before the ball with travel assist. Mine picks up 60 zone in 100. Was nearly rear ended yesterday. Must report it.
It will seem a long weekend..lol😊
Yeah that was how I felt at the end, glad to hear it's finally arrived now
Hopefully this works.
Thanks for the tip. Can't you turn off the speed limit sign recognition ?
Indeed it will 😀
It works perfectly except for in that spot I’ve found
At last!! All the best with it, you'll love it. Great colour choice too 🙂
Nope locked, can't even see. Maybe a screenshot ?
Yeah I posted on a few VW groups.
Gotta say the level of thicko on Facebook is through the roof. I point out that I'm only getting 3kW on AC and 26kW DC, and half a dozen people people reply to tell me that I'll only get 11kW on AC and 50kW DC...
I stopped at another rapid on the way home, got 35kW DC (but that's because the Derry rapid is a piece of crap) and 11kW on AC.
So whatever it was, it seems to be ok again.
Yes , I’ve mine off for this very reason.
Can you explain what the issue is with timed charging?
It doesn't work! Simple as that.
Doesnt affect me as I have a Zappi which handles the timed charging but if you have a dumb charger and are relying on the car to sort out the charging, you're out of luck.
I have an EO Mini Pro 2 (just installed) but no ID.3 yet 😢. EO will handle the timed charging. But I hope it isn’t going to charge it to 100% every time…
You can set in the app or the car to only charge to 80 or 90%.
That’s actually a very nice colour on the car. I saw one in Galway a few weeks ago.
my other half wanted to go electric as well and when talking with the local dealer here, they said if we put in the order now, that the earliest we’d get it is April. realistically don’t be surprised if it’s a 222 car! It was mentioned there is a huge backlog. (She’s not getting anything special either, so no add ons like the heat pump or different wheels / tyres which could delay things).
Yeah, can't say I'd happy being restricted to 100 Km/hr all the time.
Yeah I wanted something other than Grey for a change.
6 months is the new norm, Intel are ramping up production to produce automotive chips but that will take time.
How do People find the speakers in their id.3 ? when I had the test car I was less than impressed + the door was rattling bad when I cranked up the volume. I think I will miss the HK system in the i3.
Still can't believe they don't include rear speakers, not even the wiring.
Sounds seems fine to me. I do have rear speakers though. Bit sure if there are different levels of sound spec aside from number of speakers?
Are you really surprised? I mean it is Facebook after all
It’s not restricted at all. It just goes at limit if you don’t touch anything. But you can accelerate if you need to.
Anyone with the massage seats found it turning itself on ? Happened once on my drivers seat but is happening allot on passenger seat seems to be either the passenger door closing or the rear door passenger door setting it off ! And it’s with nobody in the seat so not like your hitting off it or anything.
No experience of that. Passengers side is on 100% of the time the missus is in the car but she knocks it on herself.
Random question: Are the USB-C ports in Id3 powered by the 12V battery or the main Battery pack?
I couldn't find documentation online to say one way or the other.
