But its not following that boundary line I believe. It's actually following the wall and then seems to cut in to close it off.
There must be clearer photos somewhere on the Web.
Where was she supposed to park/ turn? looks like grass/lawn the further u go in...+ that supporting wall would be part of the house landscaping
I think that's a later picture. Like the one below. You can see there are shrubs there in this pic.
I'm no expert but I'd imagine this driveway was to access the property by vehicle and plenty of space to park/turn you car. Even if she just parked before that gate there is plenty of space to reverse the car and turn the rear into the lane towards Alphie's. So she had plenty of space alright but it might not have been as convenient for her. Point being where her car was parked would be no different than your neighbour parking in your driveway. Like I've said, these neighbourly disputes can become very petty.
Blocked/covered window is interesting..
...by arresting him and charging him with murder. Unless, of course, Ol'Alfie's and corrupt Bantry coppers drug importation partnership might be torpedoed by a murder conviction. Could be bad for business alright. In that case, let's get rid of any incriminating evidence before the forensics crowd arrive from Dublin. Oh, and don't forget about the jobs book in the station. There must be no written record of references to "certain individuals". Sure, we'll charge Bailey with it. No hassle.
Are you angry with what actually happened or trying to be ironic?
What covered window? Thought her whole thing was curtainless windows?
Look at the last picture
I rarely employ irony as a literary device. You might call it Hyperbole - just like mamboozle's theories. Hyperbolic.
at the time of the murder,
All very amusing. Tell us why the pages are missing.
If the story about her missing diaries is true their contents could shine a light on all this.
A hypothetical question;
What would you do?
You are the the perpetrator of this violent, bloody crime.
We won't go into the whys and hows.
You're bloodied and dishevelled and pumped up.
You have to make a quick getaway, it's dawn, lights come on in neighbours house, roads will be getting busy.
You get home and start cleaning up, the realisation hits you;
Have you left anything behind that may incriminate you, fingerprints, footprints, DNA, blood, clothes fibres etc.?
edit;
you are not Alfie or Ian Bailey
Turn myself in? I could argue that she came at me like a banshee with the hatchet and it was self defense and got a bit carried away. I know she was much smaller but she was strong fierce and didn't understand anything I said.
Are you asking would I go back and try to clean up the scene? If it was one specific, very incriminating thing like a dropped glove I might chance it. But going back and attempting an extensive forensic cleanup of the scene? No chance. Just got to cling to the unlikely hope the forensic investigation will be completely botched...
There's no going back , it's daylight.
The body may have been found by now.
You are worried about any evidence you may have left behind.
After the murder the upstairs window overlooking Alfies seems to have been blocked up or covered with wood. Very strange - what would the reason be for doing this?
If I didn't turn myself in I guess that after the body is found I'd find an excuse to turn up at the scene and give an alibi to any of my DNA found there.
They could be shutters. A very French thing.
Is it known what the room upstairs was ? Unused bedroom ? as I know she had her room out the front of the house with Fastnet in view. Only reason I can think of it being blocked is for privacy
I think it's where she slept that fateful night, as it was over the kitchen with the aga cooker.
What was the reason behind the taping of phone calls into and out of certain Garda stations going back to the 1980s? It does look like Guards investigating Guards but for what?
What kind of excuse could you give?
Remember you're not Bailey the reporter.
You need to think a little bit outside the box.
Remember, you might not be allowed close enough to contaminate the scene.
Out for a walk and saw something going on so went to see? Visiting someone? Looking for my lost dog/cat? I'd find a way around the 'steel cordon' around the house I'm sure, especially coming over the hillside off the road.
Well if this is to be believed the system was put in to record 999 calls ... after that it gets murky and ended up recording all calls to the stations, inbound and outbound.
Its so hard to tell with AGS whether things are due to incompetence or theres a hidden agenda.
And another toothless inquiry fails to establish which.

Very good point. I have a brother who used that very tactic to get away with all kinds of misbehavior throughout our childhood. However I think if he claimed to have accidentally recorded every phone call in the house for a year my Mum would still have battered him.
It's absolutely unbelievable what they got away with.
Not unbelievable, whats unbelievable is some posters on here still defending them. Both the last two commissioners resigned in disgrace especially the last one when she 'lost' her phones and any other incriminating behavior. They've implicated whistle blowers in child sex abuse scandals falsely just to destroy them.
There isn't any proper authority to investigate them when it comes to corruption or malpractice. They are given a lot of power & trust. What do people expect? No doubt in my mind the gards had some involvement in this crime one way or the other.
My experience of public service in general in Ireland is that people very capably get themselves into very well remunerated positions where there isn't a whole lot to do. While incompetence and systemic failure is regularly thrown out there when things aren't as they should be, I'd be sceptical. It doesn't add up really, very competent capable people suddenly become incompetent when they are required to work together.
It's no secret that west Cork would have had a tradition of anti-Treaty Republicanism and one can easily see how many of those Gardai working there in the '90s would have had grandfathers, if not fathers at a push, who'd been involved. I imagine a lot of them wouldn't always have seen eye to eye with the top brass above in Dublin.
