For sure, but they had my car for a day and overnight last March when they would have done that. This is apparently two new (physical parts to be changed) updates.
The originally told me that the mileage limit was 15,000km.
He told me again that there is a 30,000km limit for the first service, even though the brochure says on page 30 that there is no mileage limit. He got me to email me the brochure, that is on the vw website.
Got a similar spiel. I just told them it was unlimited as per the documentation and that was that. The first service is due at 2yr old. The infotainment even has a counter on it to tell you when its due and it will start flashing warnings when its due. Ignore any suggestions that you need to pay for a service before the 2yrs.
In the same call he told me about a service deal they are doing for €640, giving 4 new wheels, wipers front and back and pollen filters.
Yes, thats just the standard VW service plan for the ID range which you can look at on their website. Its not a dealer thing, its VW Ireland manage it. If you think you will burn a set of tyres within the 2 years it is excellent value for money. You'll pay close to that for the 4 tyres (assuming you dont use cheap s*it) which means you will have a free service left in the plan which covers brake fluid, wipers and pollen filter, all of which will add up to a decent sum..... €640 for the whole thing inc 4 tyres is excellent value.
same here. Not a first mover either.
My dealer hasn't mentioned any further recalls, if you hear anything let us know, thanks..
Do you have to buy this when you get the car or can you pick it up anytime? I’ve had my ID3 since early July and have clocked up 5500km on it. I’ll definitely need new tyres when it comes to service time.
I gave a look at my tyres and they are ok at the moment, I wouldn't feel bad about the €640, but next September, as I think they will need a change around then esp. the rears. I'm over 23,000k already and expect to hit 30k in Jan. VW Ireland customer support are looking into it for me at the moment, I'll let you all know what they come back with. They did send me this.
Maybe they are confusing it with the e-golf.
No, I got offered it today, first I heard of it.

You can buy the service plan from the vw ireland site. Simple, painless process. I've used it already and got my 4 tyres via my dealer. You just tell them you have a service plan when you book it in and thats it. The dealer gets the money from VWFS.
There is some small print around it, cant remember the exact wording, but something along the lines of "buy it anytime before you are due your first service".
Patara is on way to Dublin, due the 5th, God only knows if my ID.3 is on it. Dealer hasn't let me know yet.
We will keep our fingers crossed and everything else we can cross for you.....😊
Lol thanks, not getting my hopes up but according to the dealer it was at Emden waiting for the next ship.
It has to be on it!!
I hope he has good travel assist/auto pilot. A bit of a bottle neck north of the Dover Straits..🤣
Took mine into kk for a spin this evening. God it’s a great car on a twisty road. I think it’s my favourite car ever to drive. Better than my old first generation scirocco which was great - when it worked!
€135
Hopefully the Ever Given doesn't get wedged across the English channel. I heard it got released from Egypt and is on the loose again 😱
These are about the cheapest I’ve come across- the Germans don’t mess around, bought a set for the i3 in 2017 from a similar seller, wouldn’t be without them come November. Once the temperature is below 5deg they come into their own, on the untreated roads I use they are savage and give great piece of mind.

Yeah I got a good deal despite the fact the cars are in such high demand. Ended up fighting over €50 but got it eventually. Along with other bits. Can't wait to collect Tuesday and get some pics of the id family.
Damn that's pricey.
I was looking at these...

Well I’m the one in torquise so I can’t hide.
Still got €237 on mine, although I started off with a bang in October by having 2 charging sessions at Kill North and South today.
Anyone have any advice on best deal available. Looking at trading a 2011 206 and probably doing a pcp deal. Would like best bang for buck but don’t need to go nuts in spec, it’s short city journeys with some m1, m50 runs.
Is there some posts or documentation on the software update ? I got an email and agreed to it, but I didnt see any instructions or info on how, why or when it will happen. thanks
You might get a good deal on one of the 1sts that seem to be around. Or a 1st plus I f you want a higher spec.
Either way tyres ain’t cheap, the smaller wheel may bring cheaper rubber prices, I find the i3 behaves better on the smaller 19” wheels-
Could be an option to let the set on it wear out and replace them with a Continental Cross Climate type tyre-
Use Pats info and get the Tiguan space saver so your not caught out, I carry a full size summer/winter spare in the boot and have needed it twice.
You’d probably need a 2 tonne trolley jack to lift a corner of a Tour with that beast of a battery. Let us know how you get on as it’s a bullet i may have to bite.
Hi all
I'm looking for the specification for the id3 1st 202 reg. Can't find anything online so maybe someone on here has a download they could share.
Thanks
this is an MY21 which I think is what you are after
Dealer says my id.3 is on the Patara, but I heard that before, so hopefully this time!
We will continue keeping everything crossed........😀
