A few people have posted screenshots of PS5 write speed tests after either doing the update or with a later production date and there’s no change apparently.
It may not end up being so much of an issue (for now) going by this video.....
Right... I neet to get a feedback wheel, a set of handlebars and work out how to fix them to the wheel, rig up the brake and clutch levers to the controller...
The Northwest 200 track, WOW.
Jesus that looks incredible!
Wow that game looks amazing!
There was a PS2 handle bar controller, and people use that with an adapter for PS2 -> PS4 when I looked and I assume it'd work on PS5 for an appropriate adapter.
Logitech make some huge trigger buttons for the Xbox adaptive controller so those and an adapter maybe, also flight pedals for a toe heel which isn't very sporty but close that or just fixing more adaptive buttons above and below the foot.
Flight stick with a twisting Z axis might be an option for a base.
I picked up Ride 4 for PS5 from Cex for €24 delivered. I think that one is still available. I couldn't believe the price. I've looked at a few reviews and the general vibe is that is probably the best motorbike racing game about.
Stay between the ditches lads 😜
It just made me hanker for a new Road Rash. 😒
I just got the last one on the cex website, for €24 I'll be happy if it scratches my racing itch until gt7 is released. That video, although it was from a replay, blew my mind.
Have a half price code for Sackboy if anyone is interested. Just enter the code at the checkout and it should work.
Have wanted it since launch but was waiting for it to get reduced.
35e instead of 70e
PEPTNATHEE
Smashing. Thank you so much. Had been waiting and waiting for this to reduce as I loved the look of it but not enough to punt at full price. That discount price was a no-brainer. Thank you😀
No bother. Enjoy.
Will post more codes soon hopefully.
Upgraded my SSD M2 today. So much simpler than it was made out to be. Literally just take out a screw pop it in and screw it back in.
Sensational YouTubers and 'news' sites making it a big deal. Every PlayStation since the PS2 has had a very simple drive installation. Cover off, unscrew the drive slot, pop it in then button it back up. Done. I have genuinely never seen it brought up as an issue until now. Notice nobody complains about having to put an NVMe drive in a computer motherboard? It's ridiculously easy. Also when the console was launched we quickly learned where the drive would go and anyone with half a brain knew how easy it was to do.
I've even seen people on the PS5 subreddit complaining that Xbox is much easier. It may be easier but it's a proprietary memory card that shares the PCI bandwidth with the internal SSD so it's limited to 2.4GB/s. Not that you'd really notice a difference, but I'd take the internal slot with double the bandwidth over a memory card.
People just want to complain.
That hardest part was getting the white cover off :) there is a knack to that. But even that was simple.
Great price - had to pay 70 euro in January in Currys as junior wanted it for his birthday a few days later. Its good but def not worth 70.
Started Apple TV sub today, not much on it so I waited till Foundation was released. Free for 6 months ain't bad
Also picked up the PS4 disc version of Doom Eternal in PC World today for €15,was in one of the bargain bins. With the PS5 upgrade being free thought why not
Mythic Quest and For All Mankind are definitely worth a watch too. There isn’t much on Apple’s service but what is there is quality.

Was only a matter of time after the leak when they announced Housemarque.
Hard to know if they'll go after any other teams. Unlikely.
They'll probably focus on expanding studios like Insomniac/SSD to make multiple PS5/PSVR2 games.
I always wanted them to go after Supergiant after Transistor was PS4 exclusive and Pyre was really good but that's not going to happen now that Hades was such a big game for them.
The big question for me is, what are they working on now?!
Word is they're doing a new original game. Not a remake or remaster.
Tempted to get that new Hot Wheels game tomorrow, looks like a bit of fun. Only €45 too.
Yeah, was just reading that on reddit. It will be interesting to see what they're capable of when not limited by remastering an existing title.
So I ran to Smyth's last night as I didn't realise it was out Thursday. Little bit difficult but didn't play it much. Actually sort of regret buying it because Alan Wake is out on Tuesday haha. Probably could have got Hot Wheels closer to Christmas on Black Friday or something but ah well, still fun so far!
Got my 48" LG OLED delivered yesterday so hope to have some time later to play a bit of PS5.
Anyone suggest any settings to play around with? It's the 2021 C1 model.
I used the below to set up my BX, all the settings were the the same as the CX:

Turn off motion smoothing on every single input and never look back.
Is that True Motion? I switched it off on HDMI1 that Sky is plugged into but assumed it'd switch off on all imputs.
I have a Frame TV as well and I definitely find the interface better on the Samsung.
That’s the one. Just make sure it’s off when you boot up apps for the first time. There’s some funky Dolby Vision settings that can sometimes turn it on unwittingly - Google it if you notice it as it’s tricky to turn off.
Personally I use filmmaker mode for every non gaming input / app. For the PS5 make sure the console is set to 4K / 120.
