There's no need to be so hilariously obtuse when he was literally directly addressing your point by contextually providing a specific example.
At no point whatsoever did he compare Kin and The Godfather on any other point whatsoever, including production values or quality.
You can think The Godfather is a masterpiece and Kin is the worst piece of **** to hit TV screens since the invention of film, and his point is still completely valid.
I am enjoying it, but sweet jesus the pacing is terrible.

Nobody beat her up, it's a birth mark the actress Claire Dunne has below her eye.
Some scenes it seems to be mostly covered with makeup and other times it seems accentuated almost.
I'm not sure how familiar you are with major criminals at the middle and top level in this country but fronts like supposedly legitimate garages were running for decades funnelling and washing money. It's only recently you hear of cab closing them down and seizing assets. The first episode of the series showed you that aspect and it was entirely accurate.
Suffice to say the near billionaire Irish drug lords operated behind the scenes for the best part of two decades until they then became house hold names after infighting and fueds. Those fellas were not anywhere near the stuff they were peddling whatsoever which is why they went unknown to the public and amassed fortunes doing so.
Not sure what sort of 'realism' you are expecting but this is all quite accurate.

Michael trying to head out the fire exit after the pub shooting. Why didn't he shoot the chain or lock open..presume he was out of bullets.
Did Michael kill his daughter's mother , Allison ? Bullet hole on the chimney breast in his house . Appears that might be so after his convo with the daughter outside the church . Did I miss something ?
And who is Birdy if she is not married to Frank ? Sister , mother , exwife ? She is always 'fixing' Michael's hair , collar etc .
