Are these locked to vodefone?
Not long left on th offer so thinking of grabbing one.
Ordered a Redmi Note 9T for the wife on Wednesday, got the email confirmation and money paid out of my bank. They attempted delivery on Friday. Quickest order I've had with them.
Looks like the switch and save is still active on some phones on their site.
How have you found the Note 9T, is it a decent phone for the money? Any downsides to it?
It's the wife's. Still in the box. I'll let you know what she reckons. She's a Xiaomi fan anyway

I'm trying to use a 48 sim to get this deal too but its not working.
My recent order was with a 48 sim.
No I never tried because the offer on the Xiaomi 10 expired before I got a chance to try buying it with the sim. It seems pot luck if they will allow you to buy these offers with a 48 sim. Someone mentioned using the 48 sim to ring or text a couple Vodafone numbers might log it in their system as not a brand new sim.
Thanks for that ... think I'd need to top up the sim to be able to ring or text though ... might still be worth it if it worked though.
I'm just about to give the Note9T a go with the 48 burner sim maneuver.
I still can't get past the doubt that the phone is going to be locked to VF.
Can anybody confirm that they got an unlocked Note 9t from VF when going for the Switch deal?
Just wondering if you could confirm the 9T is unlocked? My own phone is on its last legs and the screen cracked the other day so reckon I'll get the 9T and then run it on 48 after purchase
Should have updated the thread sooner. Yeah it's unlocked, wife put her GoMo SIM in and worked without issue.

Went to buy the 9T tonight using the 48 sim, got all the way to the end after verifying with my banks app for the money to be released Clicked the button to say I had authorised the transaction in my banks app and then the Vodafone site said
But checked my bank account and the money has been taken out of the account, at least as pending anyway. Anyone got an idea, what this how other peoples transactions failed when using the 48 sim? Im thinking it hasnt gone through as there is no confirmation email in my inbox or spam. Pain in the ass if it hasnt as my current phone just cracked the screen this week and the battery is already barely charging to 50%
Same happened to me a few months back, money taken, transaction failed. Had to contact customer support on the web chat to start the refund process.
thanks for letting me know, I had just presumed the refund would be automatic within 3 or 4 days. Seems I'll have to go hunting for it now. Did you happen to ask them on web chat why it was declined?
I wonder as well how they know its a sim that hasnt been used before, are networks sharing this data with each other or something?
I did ask why the money was taken and the order was declined, I was told it was "a rare glitch in the system". No idea how or why it was declined. Because the error message appeared so soon after accepting the transaction it's probably just a badly designed website.
Were you trying to get the phone using a throwaway 48 Sim? I was and I think thats why it was declined, they want you to sign up to a Vodafone monthly package and switch to them so that might be it. A couple of others back up the thread have had their transactions declined as well when trying to use a throwaway sim and then others got the order through successfully so it seems it is pot luck.
Anyway I spoke to them on chat yesterday and he said either the phone will be sent (didnt sound likely) or I will get a refund sometime tomorrow. He did give me an 1800 number to ring up (Vodafone sales I think) if the phone doesnt get sent. I asked him why the transaction was declined and he said it was "a technical issue".
My phone (Huawei P20) is on its last legs. Charging port hit and miss with charging, cracked screen.
Went to order the 9T with a 48 SIM last night. An error type message occurred when selecting the Vodafone X plan at the checkout.
Gave it a second go, this time selecting the 'Extra Unlimited' €30 plan. The order went through no problem, received order confirmation email since. Worth trying for folks having issues.
