I was thinking the same about the students when I noticed them around Oakpark yesterday. Great to see them back to college and the town!
Was in Tralee town centre yesterday for the first time in a long time. Great buzz and nice to see students back. The nice sunshine helped as well, very positive impression on my brief visit and coffee stop.
There was a crash on the Bracker O'Regan road last night and it is still closed this morning. It was between a car and a motorbike. I don't think anyone was killed.
Traffic must have been awful up Caherslee this morning!
I can never understand how there's so many of them opening. There must be 3/4 in Castel Street alone! I was in Castleisland the other day and seen there's another opening there as well!
A new phone shop in Castle street!! Hon the chamber alliance 😂😂
It's where O'Carroll's fruit and veg shop used be all those years ago....Dar is the name over the door...if I was to guess, I'd think there's a link to Raja's takeaway across the road
they are a business representative group for the town of Tralee so advertising Tralee, networking with each other, approaching politicians for grants. The kiosk in the mall was paid for by chamber alliance it had volunteers giving out tourist information while the (tourist office was closed) Killarney and dingle were open
Each to their own, not my idea of a day out!
In fairness, this was about 10 million worth of cars, not the usual lads with go-faster stickers and boo pipes on their diesel passat. Great crowds in Cork and all over the county yesterday to see them
They passed by the end of my road. Was heading to slea head with the family so passed a load of them. Not a day for standing around tralee🙁
Waiting for some cars in the pouring rain, how exciting! 😁 Drove over to Manor and back and didn't spot one fancy car!
The cannonball run...boys and their expensive toys... Ferrari's Lamborghini's etc driving through Ireland
Does anyone know what was going on out by Ballygarry yesterday (Sat)? There were loads of cars parked up along the road and there were people standing around as if waiting for something. There were even people on the bypass bridge and along that road too!
Competition for mj. Their fish is super. 2 pieces in the box.
They will be doing fish & chips too.
Is Quinlans in the Horan centre a fish & chip takeaway or just a fish shop
T.
Apart from new lighting and new flooring a couple of years ago I don't think they did much more to it. The whole outside is being done too. All the old redbrick is being covered over. Its a big job they are doing inside and out!
I was there for the first time in ages recently. Definitely a great update, the store was a little dated looking. I don't think it was updated since the 90s?
Quinlans fish have opened their new shop in the Horan Centre, it looks great. They have also opened inside Dunnes NCR!
Dunnes is really coming together now and looking great. Can't wait to see it all done.
I remember going into that shop as a kid with the old man, you would nearly forget it was still there
I see Hogan's Hardware in The Square is having a closing down sale. It must have been one of the last businesses in town that has been around since the 70s or longer and look relatively unchanged. Being honest, I don't think I was ever inside that shop.
no traffic until early 2022
I suppose the dry weather didn't help, maybe with the rain it will clean itself a bit! The new area by Bridge st/Rock street looks well though. When is that area going to reopen to traffic?
It was professionally cleaned in April, an outside team took days to do it....it looked well afterwards....it seems that the stone just attracts dirt, not at all any "resistance" of you get my meaning
That's disgusting. Why do some people have dogs if they can't clean up after them?
I noticed the paving in the Mall is also filthy, not with dog fouling, but just in general. It could do with a serious power washing.
I walked down Denny St today on the same side as the Grand/Imperial. The amount of dog fouling in the footpath is disgusting. I've never seen that street so bad.
Agree on all the above!
Better than the Kerryman all the same (granted that doesn't take much effort) and they consistently call the Healy Raes out on all the shite that they stink of.
It was a tone-deaf headline but I'm a tad more outraged at the heinous double murder itself.
Tiger,Been saying this for one year now,Maintenance is not KCCs strongpoint. We are placing some hope on Tralee/Fenit Greenway to revive fortunes of town butif maintained like these two we may forget it
I was in Listowel SuperValu an hour or so ago, and there was still a huge stack of Kerry's Eye papers in the rack, and there was a huge stack in the Bridge Road garage as well. Kerry's Eye deserves to get their fingers burned on this issue. When they have to credit the shops with the returns, they'll hopefully get the message, providing that no one is stupid enough to buy it in the meantime.
thanks, wasn't 100% sure.
