Same. Wait and see now. I tried looking for delivery information but couldnt find any. Options are home delivery only. Nothing mentioned stock values.

Just received the collection number for Argos. It's being held til the 25th anyway! Wahoo!
So this Argos thing... seems you can reserve it even though they have no stock. They sent you an email to confrim the reservation but no confirmation number and no sms. So I take it this is a mistake and nobody had actually got their hands on one this way? I tried it anyway for the craic.
It was 8 days from order to delivery back in March - for me.

I got a text earlier saying my reseveration was ready for collection, though i haven't had a chance to pick it up yet. Place the initial reseveration 2 days ago. Tried to reserve one again just now just to see and it's back to sending blank emails/no sms.
So it looks like whatever limited stock Argos did have is now gone.

I got a reservation from Argos number texted to me on Sunday and the message said I would be text again when it arrives in store (between tuesday and thursday). I'm not holding my breath that I will actually get a text by tomorrow. Have people actually picked any up from Argos in the last week?

Trying the Argos reservation route currently. Sick of going around retailers asking if they've got any, usually you can see the retailers got a drop because when you search for the console the shopping results will have a load of extra listings at ridiculous markups - the scalpers know how to get in first.

Got a Series X this morning at 11.45am. I was lucky. No heads up from anyone, I just randomly checked Smyths website and there was availability. Out of stock soon after.

Picked up my Series X from Swords this AM. 200+ people in the queue outside. I joined the end of the queue, a staff member came out and said 'We only have PS5 Digital Editions left'. About 20% of the queue immediately dispersed. Less than 3 minutes later, another member of staff came out, and announced they have no PS5's of any type left. Remaining queue dissolved instantly, and I strolled in, picked up my Series X, and was in and out of the building in less than 90 seconds. :D
Mad how much more popular Sony is in Ireland. I've known it for years sure, but to see it so clearly was mad. I'm (or was...) a huge gamer nerd as a kid (33 now!) and I absolutely fanboyed hard for PlayStation as a kid, but as a teen, with Xbox live etc I wore a Microsoft hat. I could appreciate both worlds though (and always had both consoles).
A lot of upset parents in the queue, I'd say 75% of the queue were parents, the rest more like me; (Tracksuit wearing skangers). Christmas is gonna be tough getting hold of these things, because of several factors: COVID impacting factory assembly lines pre-vaccines, semi-conductor availability, GPU shortages, Brexit, etc..
