Apparently he did decide to give a red for teh tackle but waited for VAR confirmation in his ear piece.
Incidents like that make it hard to keep watching. Awful for the young lad.
Sky said that the ref was always going to give a red, and VAR were just checking, but he didn't give a free in real time, nor did he view the monitor - so how was he always going to give a red?

There's a definite shift in his position this season. He's moving more centrally for some periods of the game with Elliot occupying his previous wide right role. They almost switch positions in possession if the game allows it.
I was looking at shifting TAA on to allow an upgrade from Toney to Lukaku but after seeing how advanced he's playing today its back to the drawing board.
