You cannot but applause that performance. Not alone an unseeded player making it to the finals but to then go and win it in straight sets is a high benchmark.

Anyway, she was clearly the better player on the day. Fernandez had too many wobblies in this match.

Its a shame she is British. They will be unbearable now. But good luck to her, she well deserved it and she was amazing throughout the tournament. A qualifier who didn't drop a set, it really is incredible.
Never mind the surface, they might need to double the size of centre court by next year and I’d say the ticket sales won’t be a problem.

Two very impressive young athletes and people. Fernandez really had an amazing tournament, such grit and amazing resilience all through. Which makes radacanus performance all the more impressive, given her clear superiority there.
I can overlook that tbh...not on her...they are always unbearable...same with the England football team.
She seems really lovely, humble and decent tbh.

My favourite female player was Steffi Graf, she was so athletic, so fast around the court. Since her the women's game seemed to slow down a bit. But these galz tonight are on that level.
