Tort law has developed over more than one hundred years without any coherent foundation or structure. Instead, it represents a piecemeal ad hoc plan which responds to individual issues but not to any wider social or legal framework.
How would people approach a Q like this?
Came up on March 2020 & 2019 as far as I remember but I stand to be corrected on the 2019. It definitely came up last sitting so think it would be safe to leave it out as a stand alone but just understand it!
its like a tumble weed in here
It used to a place of craic, banter and support :'(
Thanks.
Hopefully I put this one to bed, it's massive.
Does anyone doing Company know if it would be okay to leave out Ultra Vires as a topic? Doesn't seem to have come up as a stand-alone question since the 2014 Act came into place. I could be mistaken about that though as I don't have access to the last two sittings papers.
We’ve been told the PPC1 exams are most likely in person if that installs any hope
Thanks! I’m the exact same, my internet is a total disaster!
Would anyone have a link to the google drive?
Or a grid for EU, Constitutional or Equity?
last time I was talking to the law society they hadn’t a venue confirmed.
Really hope they do ahead in person as my internet is not the most reliable.
I definitely think you can if you do everything else well. A lot of people I know didn’t do it in March and it came up and they were still able to answer 5.
Another thing about constitutional is do not be afraid of the case note questions I literally had two paragraphs for each case because I was stuck for a last q and I still got 10 overall in the q and there is no way I deserved to pass that q!
Hi guys,
Does anybody have property exam papers for 2019/2020? I have other materials to swap
Thanks
Has anyone who is sitting the exams in person heard where they are being held? Or am I the only one haha!
Hi everyone, could someone please clarify a question I have on Tort as examiner reports aren't detailed!
When asked a question about pure economic loss, as it is a subtopic of the duty of care is there a need to also discuss general duty of care cases (such as Glencar/UCC....) or is it sufficient to focus on cases solely under the topic of negligent misstatement? Thanks!
I would also love a Company script please. Thank you
Hi could anyone who passed Company and/or EU pm me and send me your scripts? Just cannot figure out where I'm going wrong! Have passed all other 6 so have lots of info to swap!! Please and thank you
Does anybody have the Law School property revision guide? I'll gladly trade any other materials for it.
From what I'm covering that's actually a spot on amount of stuff to get your five questions so I wouldn't add or cut from it.
Hi everyone, hope someone can help me here. Sitting the coming October exams, doing the Criminal, Equity and Tort exams. I'm sorted for the first two, but I cannot get my head around tort.
How many topics do I need for this exam? As it stands I feel I have covered too much. I have:
Friends are telling me look at limitation periods too. So all in all, that is 13 topics. Do I need this many?
Does anyone has a property exam grid please?
Or revision notes (particularly from Law School) I can swap you the Law School equivalent in contract and/or equity.
This is what I covered in Constitutional and I passed although I would recommend adding 2 or so topics to this because I was quite restricted in the exam
Introduction to Con Law
Preamble
*Effects of Unconstitutional Finding
*Amending Constitution
**Separation of Powers (international relations)
*Right to Silence
*Trial in due course of Law
*General Principles
**Personal Rights
*Equality
*Freedom of Expression*
**Property*
Inviolability of the Dwelling (read over)
Family and Education
I left it out and passed comfortably. However, I made sure to know all the other sections extremely well. I would also be aware that on a few occasions it came up in two separate questions but it hasn't happened since 2017 ( i think...). I was the exact same as you and wanted to leave it out because of its sheer size but note that it is a small gamble, especially if it appears twice . Good Luck
i would also enjoy this..
Hey does anyone have an upto date comapny grid/march script? I have materials for property/EU/tort/Criminal to swap :) thanks!
Anyone tell me what came up in constitutional in March?
Can anyone advise whether I can leave out Trial in Due Course in Constituitonal?
I will be doing everything else except Religion and that?? Really want to avoid it since its huge! Any advice appreciated!
Does anyone have an updated property grid? Would really appreciate it!
Anyone have past papers and solutions for Company? I can swap materials for all other subjects.
Would anyone have the Equity exam papers from the last three sittings? Can swap for other materials.
Thanks!
Does anyone have a Law School revision guide for property?
Can give you the Law School guide for contract and/or Equity in return.
Any chance anyone has the examiner's report for contract Nov 2020 exam please?
