Horrible match to watch..tapetty tap football..
Stop start
Tyrone will disrupt Mayo's momentum as much as possible. Any sloppy Mayo tackle and tyrone players will go down and take 20-40 seconds to recover
Grow up and think about what your saying. Playing him as they are isn't helping him. Hopefully they can get him into the game in the second have. But having a big lump of a man like him (That has never scored in any of those AIF appearances your on about) trying to kick pts under pressure or in at ff on his own is not playing to his strengths. Mayo can still win this with room to spare if they get there house in order.
Jesus one at a **** time lads.
RTÉ are like a bunch of lads in the pub.
They are all just shouting over each other
That's not great body language from Aidan anyway, come on lads!!
Won two frees that lead to points. Has carried a mountain of ball, working like a dog.
But yeah he's shite 'cos he didn't stick one into the top corner of the net on his wrong side from 25 yards while a Tyrone defender was breathing down his neck.
Mayo have to get the matchups right and be far more accurate in passing, shot selection etc if they're going to pull it off.
Expect Mayo to win . Have come from behind in last 2 games.
There was no "pull down". It was a high tackle. Possibly the black card rule should be amended to be more broad. However as the rule stands that is not a black card offence.
He pulled a closed fist into the stomach/chest.
If you had finished the post after "No point having Aidan O'Shea", it would have been accurate.
One goal chance, shot for a point and was blocked. Kicked another wide. Not much else. Has never scored in an All-Ireland final, while now playing his seventh. Expect him to be taken off sometime in the second half.
Mayo clinging on, but if they get their subs right, including taking off O'Shea, they are still right in it.
Surely O'Hora will be watching the second half from the sidelines...
Because it has been a roaring succcess in the soccer?
No.
Took him down just outside the box with a Mayo man free by the goal.
It was for cynical pulldowns and that was cynical and the Mayo man went down it doesn't have to be 1 particular type of takedown
He had no problem giving the Tyrone midfielder a yellow for nothing.
That's not a black card offence. It's a high tackle and therefore a yellow. Black card is for deliberate pull down, that wasnt one. Its was an arm across the face. Yellow card. Even so, ref bottled it.
Mayo have been turned over at least 4 times down the touchline. Every time they take the ball in those corners and pockets they are playing into Tyrone's hands making the same errors as Kerry.
They've gotten 5 from play and should have gotten a goal themselves. Agree about the black card.
It's the absolute definition of what it's for
Not a bad position for Mayo. They've been further behind in other matches this year which should give them some confidence.
Mayo well in touch despite Tyrone kicking some G8 points, still thinking Sam will head west
Mayo very lucky to be only 2 points behind at half-time. They've only had 2 scores from play, should have conceded a goal and should have received a black card.
Mcquillan waited and waited for the info in his ear piece.Var now in gaa.
He should have made his decision immediately on what he saw.
No point having aidan oshea on the edge of the square if your not going to put high ball into him.
also it takes Conroy out of the place he does the most damage.
Mayo will be more dangerous when Oshea goes off or back out the field.
still think its a good enough watch all to play for defo black card though
Gaelic football really needs a var system.
It's in the melting pot
It's been the opposite this year, v Galway and indeed v Dublin.
Onky 2 between them at ht.
Mayo doing what Mayo do in finals.
Fair play to Tyrone though, solid as f**k.
