I'd sooner drive rusty nails into my hands rather than listen to the dose that is Dessie.
Ide say at this stage if Meath made the final at all you would be in bits ticket or not
Does anyone know what the outcome will be if its level at 70 mins? Does Joe McQuilan even know I wonder?
Sure weren’t Meath in an historic. All Ireland final last week? Wanting another one is just greedy 😀
Extra time. No penalties. Replay if still a draw after ET
GAA hour AI final preview Colm Parkinson, Brendan DeVenney, Aaron Kernan.
I can’t remember when it was but it was a good few years ago, when RTE gave about 10 mins to Marty Morrissey talking to a GAA head man ‘explaining’ the GAA disciplinary process. It might even have been the sports section of RTE News it was gas. Layers of hoops CCCC etc. At the end Marty says now I hope it is much clearer for everyone. It was like a comedy sketch.
That being said Mayo have at times struggled under the high ball this year.
Back in June Clare caused all sorts of drama in the box when they pumped balls into the big guy they had, it got them back in a game they should not have been back in.
In a discussion pre the Tyrone v Kerry game a Kerry man brought up that with me and also said that Galway did it in the Connacht final (I can't remember if that was the reason for Galway's two goals that day, was it ?)
Now do Tyrone have a big man for that sort of tactic ?
Thats a pretty **** mean spirited comment, to be honest.
Ahem, we've won 2 All Irelands in 8 days thank you very much!!!
Like waiting ages for a bus.

Have to think Mullen will start instead on Hesson
I stand by my comment.
His goal was basically a tap in.
Finals just aren't the same with Cantwell and the new panels. I assume Cora Staunton will be on the panel. Can't stand her voice and she's poor analysing the game...she speaks like a fan rather than a pundit. Sean Cavanagh, I just find completely slimey. I wouldn't trust him with anything. Again, he's very defensive of Tyrone...claimed Tyrone were unfairly treated by the ref...any comment Spillane made he had to butt in every single time and was like "ah come on, you were saying before the game Kerry had this player, that player and now you're claiming Tyrone had it easy"
If 2 of the 3 panelists are Staunton and Cavanagh, along with the 0 charisma Cantwell, I'll probably tune out of the pre match build up.
Spillane, O'Se and Whelan would be a good trio.
I thought RTE had a rule where those from involved counties weren't given punditry gigs?
IMO Cora Staunton can hold her on match analysis.
Agreed I think Tomas O Se is the preeminent analyst on RTE.
Ciaran Whelan is very decent too.
Sky are miles ahead with Peter Canavan and Jim McGuinness.
Agree with comments about Sunday Game panellists, enjoy Spillane but Cavanagh comes across as a whinge and very pompous & Cantwell is too PC. Definitely, appreciate Ó Sé & O’Rouke’s analysis & dare I say it, I’d like to see Brolly back - especially for the Tyrone games at least!
It would be great if Darragh Maloney got the commentary gig but can't see it happening.
Canavan and mcguinness do provide great analysis but they're a touch dull in my opinion.
I like a small bit of edge and humour. I agree that O'Se and Whelan are very good. Have their own biases which is natural but not overbearing.
I did not want to do this, and I’m sure selighit the mod will remove it - that’s fine. But I’m desperate to get a ticket for my dad with me.
I have one lower hogan ticket for tomorrow 327 for myself.
as idiotic as this request is - I will swap it for 2x hill/Nally of lesser value or anywhere, and pay the difference for the extra ticket.
now I’m aware the chances that someone who has 2 tickets hasn’t already gave the other one away that they don’t need are very slim, but if I don’t say it I’ll never know.
im in Kildare tonight and Dublin early tomorrow.
Sky analyise tactics in great detail and give good insight into games. RTE is pundits more about pushing their own agenda. You have Pat Spillane of out touch with modern game talks absolute drivel .
The curse ends tomorrow and by god do Mayo deserve the Sam McGuire
You mean today
Two of the 1951 panel are still alive. Mayo winning later today will prove the so called curse was a load of nonsense
Thought there was only 1.
If Mayo lose, the bounty on his head will increase.
You ‘might’ enjoy this, keeping a good spirit for all... https://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/video-news/patsy-ohagans-tyrone-poem-ahead-of-all-ireland-final-40820033.html
In any event, hoping for a good game & sporting atmosphere.
Seems to be the first final for a while that the pundits are really slow to give a verdict they can't really make their minds up really is a fascinating match and great for the non committed to lookforeard to .Hope the best team wins fair and square .
As the Saw Doctors say they did two "Mayo Songs"
Only one that played. Another who was a non playing sub.
They used not to give non playing subs a medal but have obviously changed that since and retrospectively given out medals.
Of course it's a load of nonsense because priests can't enact curses. Don't curses go against catholic teaching in the first place
Cannot understand why Daragh Maloney is not used more for the GAA games. He's excellent. Instead we'll get Cantwell butting in every time there's a hint of controversey then we'll have that fool Morrissey on commentary.
The build up is so boring without the likes of Brolly. Why is Cora Staunton there (on sideline)? She never played at this level. There's wasn't a man to be seen at last weeks women's final. Not in the studio or on commentary. Such nonsense.
