This is what usually happens when a crypto goes parabolic. It makes these sudden moves with large volume then retraces a bit. Rose jumped to 0.17 then retraced back to 0.14, then went to 0.21, retraced back to 0.18. Now it's gone to 0.30. Could be a local top, or it might just be resting til next push.
cheers @dirk_dangler, got in on this at 10c
I try to avoid trading crypto:crypto though as it's awkward to deal with the CGT of it no? How does it work?
Once the transaction is done straight away there shouldn’t be an issue, i.e. Fiat to USDT to ROSE. There’s a few threads on taxation - best to read them!
Rosie pumping yesterday and this morning saving my portfolio right now!
Its well down from yesterday.... what else is in this portfolio?
ADA, SAND, CHZ, COTI and around 4 other small punts!
Rose getting another exchange listing to add to Binance and Kucoin.
The only way for Americans to buy ROSE is on Kucoin, they are banned from buying on Binance and Bitfinex and i believe Kucoin is not approved either but they dont block sales, now imagine what happens when it launches on Coinbase or Gemini, both are early investors, so it is going to happen, and November looks to be when it will with the token unlock.
Here we have Charles Hoskinson bend the knee to Chainlink, in a nut shell he is admitting he needs Chainlink to get smart contracts on Cardano, this should show many non believers just how important Chainlink is , the number 3 crypto by Market Cap needs Chainlink to run smart contracts!!!!
Let that sink in, run it around your brain for a few minutes, who else needs Chainlink to be able to run smart contracts, just about every blockchain there is! So the question you must ask yourself now is why is Chainlink not ranked higher seeing that it is essential to the whole of Crypto?
It's going to rocket in price once the penny drops with the public just how essential Chainlink is
Theta has a lot of love around these parts
MasterCard acquiring CipherTrace who run a Chainlink node.
Bought into some Chainlink a few days ago on Binance and then tried to buy some ROSE but couldn’t find it. Also using CoinMetro now and can’t see it on there.
I’m fairly new to this, so interpreted this message as meaning if I converted some of my existing crypto assets on Binance to USDT I’d then be able to convert USDT to ROSE but didn’t see it when I searched. So any pointers here to get this dumdum up and running are much appreciated.
Going to DCA a couple of grand into both LINK and ROSE is the plan. I saw mention earlier on the thread LINK would rise in value when ETH transaction costs reduce. Saw something that indicated gas fees declined from a high of $211 in late August to $66 recently, so is that the level we should expect LINK rises at or does it need to drop further (and how feasible is that if so)?
Thanks Dirk for all the info shared on this thread.
Yep, go to "markets" on Binance and you'll see the USDT/Rose pairing.
Markets then Fiat and type ROSE in search bar.
Binance is not a user-friendly website, so it's not entirely your fault there
You can sing that! Horrible site. I've spent hours looking for basic functions.
Jesus I think it has the best layout easy to find everything you need.
Thanks for that, managed to figure it out based on that and bought a bit of ROSE. Finding CoinMetro slightly easier interface to follow but seems to have a much narrower range of assets than Binance.
I’m in the phase of figuring one thing out, then discovering new things or terms I need to research, then go google/youtube for a bit and generally answer that question quite well and have another 5 to go figure out…jumping in the deep end and figuring it out basically, so far so good.
Next thing I’ll look into is whether it’s handy/costly to transfer assets between Binance and CoinMetro (e.g. is it a case of withdrawing to my Binance wallet address) as that way CoinMetro as my SEPA-deposit lower cost entry point for getting my Euro into crypto and then transfer across to Binance when I want to buy a coin not listed on CoinMetro seems a decent option.
I plan to hold all my crypto long-term, e.g. a few years, but will keep an eye out here to see thoughts on the outlook for ROSE and LINK as if there’s strong reason to believe they’re maxed out or have hit a limiting constraint, then I’d look to sell, but other than that riding out the bumps is the plan.
I'm pretty sure you can only transfer cryto between exchanges and not Euros. But I'm not 100% on that.
I will try explain in simple terms, a lot more to it but this will give you a idea of whats going on and you can DYOR
ETH transfers cost $100, if you transfer your ETH/Tokens to the Arbitrum Network it takes 7 days to register on the network then transfers cost $10.
At the moment Arbitrum is centralized but as it expands and becomes fully decentralized the 7 days register period will become instant and the transfer costs will be $1.
The expansion of the Arbitrum network will be on Chainlink Nodes, the fee paid for transfers will be paid in Chainlink tokens.
There is no Arbitrum token.
As you can see Arbitrum is growing at a stunning rate 2561% in a week
With the lowering of ETH transfer fees we can expect mass market adoption of crypto, and Arbitrum will be a big part of this and the fees will be paid for using the service in Chainlink tokens.
Arbitrum is just one of close to 800 and growing projects using Chainlink, now imagine how much demand there will be for Chainlink in the years ahead.
Anyone know how long Binance have temporarily suspended EUR deposits via SEPA Bank Transfer?
Also, perhaps I just can't seem to find it on the website, but does Binance have a support email? For queries like the above.
Completly forgot I bought a few ROSE in May thanks to another thread. Has risen nicely since which I totally didn't notice, if only it was a larger part of my portfolio! Reading up here I'm very glad of the move, might have to buy some LINK now too.
It's indefinite. Their banking partner pulled the rug on them essentially.
RIP to the rose holders here.
Did something happen?
The Theta bag holder has spoken! Holding as it slips to Rank 34 at $4.92, the token that was destined to hit $80 in their opinion. I sincerely hope you are stacking Link & Rose at these prices.
We shall start with king shlt coin, Cardano, lot of people believe its going to grow even more valuable, i personally don't care if its does as i hold Link and will benefit either way, the best way to help you understand all of this is imagine the fan boys arguing which is best, Playstation or Xbox, iPhone or Android, the smart money does not care who is better and who "wins" as they long ago realized that they all run on electricity and are buying shares in Electricity companies, well LINK is the electricity company of crypto, its running in the back ground of all the L1 players, who ever wins does not matter as LINK will be there behind the scenes and just like electricity it is ubiquitous and no one gives it any though but would be screwed without it.
The China FUD has worked on many for the 100 time, when will people learn its just a ruse to drive down prices so the Chinese can get Crypto cheap, Crypto is not going to be banned in China.
Conflux is the only state endorsed public, permissionless blockchain operating in China and as you can see they are working on a RMB Stable coin
And what have we here but only Conflux and Oasis Labs working together.
Looking good for both LINK & ROSE in my humble opinion, but if you combine both its looking like a path to riches.
Then we have AWS making its easy for us to run a Chainlink Node, i get the feeling that LINK staking is coming soon and combined with ROSE we are on a winner.
Bit unlocking of coins coming up for Rose in about a month too. Correct me if I'm wrong but circulating supply is gonna double. Could be bad pricewise for Rose.
Full disclosure - I have a position but worried about this short term.
Similar token unlock to Solano which was about $1.50 on day of unlock and went up to $213 and has now fallen back to $133, i expect we will see ROSE on Coinbase, Huobi and Gemini once the tokens are released and we have a lot of liquidity. (all 3 are early investors)
Associated Press now on the Chainlink train, as i posted earlier, its going to be everywhere and most people wont know anything about it.
Its everywhere and still unknow to the masses
Novi using Paxos
Dont forget Fred Ehrsam one of the founders of Coinbase is a early investor in Oasis Labs (ROSE)
Its all coming together nicely, November to April i expect to be huge for ROSE
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/DARPA
Oasis was and is funded by DARPA
built under the Brandeis program
Starting in 2013
So the NSF AND DARPA HAVE BASICALLY BUILT OASIS
"enable sharing of data from the billions of IoT devices while preserving privacy..." which is what ROSE is all about
"half the planet's population" is our market size
all using ROSE to maintain privacy
Access to info but maintaining privacy
and then this week we have the Meta launch, where we where told all the previous Facebook services will be under the Meta umbrella with one log in , but the services will not be able to share info about the user of the log in, this is exactly what one function of ROSE is, and we have this from a few months ago which is another Rose function.
I'm certain none of us really about what we actually stumbled upon
It's like getting at ground level of future technology
Dawn Song's research with DARPA is being funnelled into Facebook. Facebook is introducing a new privacy-first unified account management platform into the metaverse
