Hope it's not true but Looks like Mattie ruane may have a broken wrist
That's always been there. But prenty said it's a replay.
It’s seems extra time is now back on the cards according to the official GAA website
They really don’t know whether they are coming or going at this stage
Saw somewhere scheduled for the weekend after? (Sunday)
I heard our president will be taking his 2 digs Misneacht and Brod to the final. Shameful to see a Galway fella using up 3 priceless tickets in this fashion just becos he has to do a elbow tap with the players before throw-in.
I'm really getting excited about this now.
Just looking back on the two SFs the extra two weeks for Mayo I think has been very handy.
It has given them the time to get down off the high of beating Dublin, and lets admit they would have been on a high and right so, and then also have had two week to concentrate on their opponent.
Tyrone don't have that luxury and they to would have been on a high from beating Kerry.
Also looking at the two games it I think there is a big difference around how the two winning teams where in control of them.
Obviously Mayo stood off Dublin early on, but once they took control 10min into the second half, they never relinquished it, Dublin only got 4 points in 60mins, and even though a last gasp free brought Mayo to ET that free was all part of reducing the 6 point deficit or whatever it was.
Tyrone were never really in control of their SF, and it could have gone either way down to the last minute.
Kerry lead by 3 in the 68th minute, it was the 2nd Tyrone goal that saved them at that stage.
And even in ET Tyrone went 5 up I think and it was whittled back down to 1.
Now as discussed on one of the podcasts it's unlikely that Mayo will play the same 'rope-a-dope' v Tyrone that they did v Dublin (and you could say Galway also).
So the anticipation is that they will take the game to Tyrone from the start, and have Tyrone chasing the game.
Over all I think Mayo have a better team and squad than Tyrone, I think they are more experienced and just better. I think them being favorites reflects that.
I think Tyrone are flatterer by Kerry.
They just about got past a ill prepared, overrated Kerry, where as Mayo came back against a strong (albeit declining) Dublin and controlled the game from early in the 2nd half.
All of that of course is with a huge amount of confirmation bias towards Mayo, but sure why not.
Even if McLaughlin is fit, I can't see him starting. If Mullin is fit I think he'll be joined in the HB line by Durcan and Coen, maybe McLaughlin in as an impact sub against tiring legs.
I'd imagine it would be the normal two weeks so probably the weekend of the 25th?
Lads, does anyone know if it's a draw when the replay is scheduled for? Ive holidays coming up in 2 weeks and afraid to book anything just in case
Apologies for the misquote!
He wasn't disgusted, how could you be getting your hands on tickets... He just found it very unusual and "a bit Irish" as he would say, that he had only won a chance to purchase tickets.
And it was unusual, if you're buying into a raffle and a club is making thousands on it, the winning tickets are almost always free.
The Season Ticket draw was obviously much different, there was no money raised / entry fee.
I have never won one that way so I'm not sure. But I seen someone here say that their dad won a ticket in the breaffy raffle one year and was disgusted when he found out he actually had to buy the ticket from the club after winning the raffle. I was wondering with these raffles is it the same as the season ticket raffle?
Well in the ST raffle you win the right to buy a ticket. But the raffles are saying "to be won", so they can't charge u when u have paid to enter the draw?
The majority of them are tied to a club lotto though aren't they? I always wondered why they doubled up that way but now I know!!!
Would I be right in saying that if you win in these raffles you still have to buy the ticket, so technically you win the ticket allocation, not the ticket itself. That must be the loophole around the terms you were talking about on the ticket @irishgeo
Ok, so this is the list so far; Ill keep asking around. I have 1 more lad who is stuck for his Dad but as I said I've a load of raffles entered.

Aye. Guaranteed that if we win it that he will be hovering around. Anyway, not going to mention him as he loves the attention like a teenage boy.
Weather seems to be holding it good, so fingers crossed. The dry day could benefit us.
Nevermind Croker, I'd be more interested in the Castlebar weather for the outdoor drinking all night (If Mayo win of course)
Met Eireann's national forecast for Saturday:
Mix of sunny spells and just well scattered showers.
Highest temperatures 15-18 celsius.
Their app will have more precise location specific data re Croker on Friday.
Talking of weather, how's it looking for Saturday? Looks like it will be cloudy but hopefully the rain will stay away.
If it was raining, you might use him to keep the rain off
I get who it us
we do not accept him as one of ours!
Who are you talking about from Knockmore? Genuine question, second time I’ve seen you mention whoever it is
Got an unexpected phone call this evening with the good news that I've got a ticket. I could immediately feel the stress and tension lift from my shoulders, didn't think it was happening earlier on today.
Can't have anymore sympathy for folk on here without one. Been posting here years and know the hardcore supporters that are on here. Hopefully there's another draw and some more tickets filter through. I was leaning towards travelling anyway if I didn't get one because you just never know.
I think the wife is sorted for a ticket. I'll be watching at home sadly. Won't be the same but a few friends who also couldn't get tickets will be with me. Crazy that none of us out of a Seating Group of 10 with season ticket got a ticket in the raffles just recently. Was sure at least one would.
No luck with the second draw for me either. Looks like it will be my only All Ireland final missed since the drawn 96 final unless a miraculous ticket arrives between now and Saturday.
Either way I will put selfish thoughts to one side and if it means not being physically there to see it, so be it. I want so much for this/our county to finally reach the pinnacle in GAA. The time to do it is here again. Maigh Eo abú
No wonder the CT is falling behind on the paper sales, Aiden always having a go at the players or adding to unnecessary rumours. He took the side of management when the players went against Holmes/Connelly and continues to give the dig.
I find him quite negative against Mayo on the verge of anti Mayo. His columns are weird. He's like the little knockmore xxxx but actually from the county.
Any help gratefully received! Havent missed a final since 04 but resigned to missing this one
You'd have to wonder about all these draws and raffles for tickets. The rationale for distributing tickets around the country was always supposed to be that there are genuine supporters in every county who might never get to see their own teams getting to a final, so they should have an opportunity to get tickets. It's not supposed to be an opportunity for clubs to make a quick buck by raffling off tickets or auctioning them to the highest bidder. Its exploiting the desperation of genuine supporters and you have people entering multiple draws at significant cost.
You'd wonder are many of these raffles even legal. The legislation for running raffles puts a limit of 5 euro charge per ticket and maximum sales of 1500 tickets unless you are operating under a lottery license or permit.
Same as that also, would love to be considered but I have resigned to watching it in the pub!!!!
