Disconnected Vacant House - Electrical Re-Connection Required

Has anyone any experience dealing with Networks on getting a vacant property disconnected from the supply for a number of years back reconnected?

Is there much involved if all previous wiring in the property is OK and is there much of a wait time from Networks to do it?

If it is more than two years you will need to apply as for a new connection. https://www.esbnetworks.ie/new-connections/reconnecting-supply

You will also need a certificate from a rec to confirm the electrical installation complies with regulations.

an estimate time from application to connection assuming everything is in order is 6-8 weeks

Didn't somebody also add in the past that the electrical installation must be mostly complete by way of sockets etc - ie they will not reconnect a installation which has been stripped back at the board?

Yes,but that doesn’t seem to be the op’s case.

the installation must be completed before certification.
