only your dealer can tell you that. Ask him what stage it’s at on the system. In normal times a VIN would suggest the car is complete and should be dispatched to the port in Emden quite soon afterwards. There’s a ship departing today, due into Dublin on Monday. Another one then ~2 weeks later.

Yeah you get a comm number as soon as the order is accepted by the factory. This could be as soon as within minutes of putting the order in.

The left third of this goes completely red for some reason on mine for a split second. Then back to normal.

It seems to vary but mine was on the next ship after the vin appeared. Then expect a 2-3 week wait for NVD to deliver after it arrives.

I called them again today and finally got my Comm Number. They said that the production week is wk 45. Keeping my fingers crossed
I think that's down to ESB being slow to bill roaming customers for charging. I've 3 charging sessions on ESB 50kW units from a 3rd party provider that I still haven't been billed for
ESB certainly have some interesting ideas on how to run a business 🙄
Car is on the boat waiting, ETA 2 weeks, Delivery probably another 2 weeks so maybe end of September. Crappy time to get a car.

Yep. Happens every couple of days. It’s a collision alert being triggered incorrectly. Spoke to VW service guy and he said it’s a known issue (particularly on windy roads) and to just ignore it.
Nah you’ll have it within two weeks I’d say.

ETA 2 weeks? Whoever is giving you that info doesn’t know what they’re on about. The ship takes 2-3 days to come from Emden. The Parana is loading up there now. It’s due in Dublin on Monday. If your car is on it and if your dealer gets the finger out he could have it on the forecourt by Monday/Tuesday week.
No idea, all I can do is go with what the dealer is telling me.
My car came in on the boat Monday evening, arrived to Donegal Friday afternoon and I drove home Friday 6pm.
Mine stopped working, not synching with the vehicle

I didnt. I figured it was just a temporary VW server issue and not something with the car itself and that it would come good again.... which it has. I can remotely stop/start a charge session again etc.
Mine came right also this morning, then went out again later in morning for about half an hour.
You're at the mercy of customs, nvd and the dealership, none of whom seem to be in any hurry
They're quick to take the deposit though lol.
Ha, yeah they never have any problems demanding money off of you. I was tempted to tell them it got delayed, but I wanted my car too much at that point
Actually, in my case they are anything but quick. I placed the order in mid-July (over the phone). Gave the guy my credit card number for the deposit. Rang him about a week later to ask for the comms number, which he gave me. I also told him that I hadn't yet seen a charge to my credit card. He muttered something something something something. Here we are in September, still no charge to my card. The car shows up in myvolkswagen.net (but without a VIN yet) and I've been emailed paperwork to show it's been ordered, but still haven't paid them anything. Not for want of trying.
Also, I was told (on two separate occasions) that the manufacture week is week 37. In other words, mid-September. I'm a bit puzzled about how it could be so early when I hear the tales of others who ordered at the same time or earlier and are expecting delivery in December or January...
It could be the spec, colour, trim etc. Just got lucky that your particular build matched the production schedule
when we are buying ours, dealer really recommended buying one that was in production
Anyone using Android Auto for music streaming?
I've got Amazon Music and Spotify enabled in Auto, but neither are working properly. I'll ask via the assistant to play a certain song on Spotify and although the voice assistant understands me and confirms what I asked, Spotify will then play something completely different.
If I ask for the tune via Amazon it again confirms my request accurately but then usually just ignores me.
For example tonight I asked Auto to play American Pie by Don McLean on Spotify. Car replies "sure, I'll ask Spotify to play American Pie by Don McLean". Then Spotify plays Beyond the Sea by Bobby Darin!
For the laugh I then asked for Beyond the Sea on Spotify, and it played Mack the Knife.
That along with an inability to play Google Home routines make for a lot of frustration.
