I’m interested in trying it, not sure I’ll like it though.

The only zero alcohol beer I like is the Heineken one as I think it’s the closest in flavour to the original, but I don’t actually like Heineken anyway.

Would be great to not be the weirdo paying €3.20 for 250ml of coke on a night out though.

Ive had heineken 0.0 and find it dont taste like the real one, but guinness 0.0 would do very well in a blind taste test because its very much like the real thing

Had one this evening one of 4 for €6 in Supervalu, had it nice and cold. Strong malt flavour at first I thought, but it grew on me, I'll be buying more!

Gave these a try, and I was impressed to be honest*. I would most likely go for the alternatives non-alcoholic at home tbh, but I expect it'll be more available in pubs where Erdinger was the default option up to now.

*impressed as a n/a option. It tasted very similar to the alcoholic stuff, but Guinness wouldn't be my stout of choice at home.

Got two packs in Tesco too. Except for the aftertaste, it tastes (and looks) almost like the real thing. There is a difference in taste, obviously, but it's nothing unpleasant.

I think it needs to be server colder than the real stuff - I never liked the "extra cold" Guinness, but it works for 0.0.

This is great for €1.50 a can. I'm very impressed.

@head82 Haven't tried the pub version, but the cans have a widget (same as the regular ones as far as I can tell).

After reading all the comments here, I'm very curious to try this out. Going to see if I can grab a few cans in my local Tesco/SV later on today.

Are the store bought cans the same as what's used in the pubs? Just wondering if the store bought cans are a 'widget' version of the pub 'surger' version.

If they are widget based, I'm planning on trying it out with my ultrasonic/home surger by doing the pin prick trick on the can.

Unless someone else here has already tried it and might give a verdict on the end result.

Although Diageo does list the ingredients, and made a marketing point of it by declaring Guinness now vegan-friendly once they took the isinglass out. All of Europe's big brewers have committed voluntarily to full ingredients listing on their beers by next year.

Once there is alcohol in the product, there is no requirement to list ingredients. Regular Guinness could have any amount of natural or unnatural flavourings and we'd be none the wiser!

Got 4 for €6 in SV last night - definitely better than I thought, certainly didn't taste bad, perfectly acceptable in my opinion. I noticed Fructose is listed on the ingredients which may explain the sweeter taste some people are getting. The head was creamy enough and stuck to the glass fairly well. Nice to be able to have a few without having a salty head on a Monday morning!

Well, tried out the cans (extra cold) and have to say I was quite impressed. Like other posters, I got a distinctly chocolate after-taste on finishing but nothing too distasteful. Will try them next in between some regular cans to see how they 'fit-in'. Exciting!

Would agree with listermint, probably best to chill the can AND the glass before you consume.

Just having it here. Really really impressed! Other non alcoholic beers haven't done anything for me. I'm not a regular Guinness drinker but do enjoy a pint of it and from a can this is at the very least comparable to their alcohol version.

Best non alcoholic beer I've tried, worth the wait!

I saw a prominent Irish imam (Muslim cleric) retweeting it online and saying he was going to try it... Quite remarkable, you never think about how significant the difference between no alcohol and low alcohol might be to someone.

Like many, picked it up in my Tesco - 4 cans for €6.

I find them ok - for me, there was some sort of syrupy sweetness to them.

I'm going to hold on to one to taste test between normal canned Guinness and maybe Beamish and or Murphys.

Had one today, 6e for 4 in SV. Think it's excellent, as others have said too. I would have preferred if it was 0.5% as I find them to be a lot nicer than the 0% ones, the little bit of alc kind of takes the edge off the tomatoey fruity taste I often get from 0%ers.

Bought 4 cans in Tesco last night.

Very impressed, thought they were delicious and very like the standard cans, but of a chocolate taste towards the end.

Overall, excellent.

Visited the local pub with it, Was driving so it was stopping on in for a quick drink.

Have to say it was great, All the other non alcohol stuff is shite but this I could drink on a night out if I had to drive after and feel part of the lads on the drink.

Very impressed just need to find it in the supermarket now.

Yes had two more last night.

You have to chill these . Make sure they are properly cold and maybe even your glass is cold. Otherwise they are simply not great .

Give them an 8 when cold cold.
