Man Vs ManUre until 9/05/23
That happened me in 2006,couple us couldn't get tickets, tried right up to the last minute. Missed most of the 1st half as couldnt get near a tv in Drumcondra and eventually got taxi back to hotel in rathmines to watch the 2nd half. Never again going through that.
Good luck to every one looking for tickets. Especially those in the draw. Like The Reverend Tod I will watch it at home. For the first time ever....
I won't travel unless I have a ticket beforehand. What happens if you don't get one, it's 15 minutes before the game and all the pubs are at capacity? Not worth the risk.
I'm 'promised' one (from overseas) but like yourself, I'm well set to enjoy from home or at a friends gathering.
I've been to all the Mayo finals since 1989 (Obviously not 2020)
As I've got older I've never struggled to get tickets, I know plenty of people in different counties, sponsors etc that have always come through.
I'm not even looking for one this year.
With the reduced capacity alot of my regular contacts will not have tickets.
And I'm not really willing to spend the next few days fretting over trying to find a ticket which statistically speaking is twice as hard to aquire as it was any other time.
It would ruin the build up for me.
I'll watch it on TV and enjoy it.
You'd wonder who will pick him up when he comes on. He's got a bit of pace about him, strength and aerial ability. He could be a real handful.
Ah now let's play the game on it's merits.🙂
I heard McShane is only fit for 20 minutes and will not start.
Its poor all around. Chri0st its not hard to organise something, even broadcast it via FB live. It just leaves it with the doubt that its

I see it there on twitter.
tThey'll notify when exactly?
It's not a particularly informative statement.
I see update on MayoGAA page.
"Croke Park will notify winners by email"......
I think everyone and their dog is going to buy it but it's a "little bit Irish" to say the least. If you're raising thousands on a draw, then don't pull the p1ss and charge the winner for the tickets.
Ah hear!!!
Ill win the house in Westport and get 2 tickets. Ill be getting the auld lad to sign over the house with the amount of draws I'm entering to get him a ticket!!
My understanding the GAA would be obliged to check for proof of vaccination if they did that, not sure if it's among the whole crowd or just the 'extra' 20K. And given they don't actually have vaccine certs in NI, you can see the world of hassle that would entail.
I have my doubts! I emailed the season ticket office earlier, they are usually fairly good to reply but nothing yet!
At least I got this one right!
Is this draw happening at all lads?
I'm in the same boat now, unless I get one from this draw of course.
I'm not sure if I'll travel without one. I think anyone that has a ticket will be using it and you'll have twice as many looking with 40,000 less tickets than usual.
I'd happily take the option to buy. Most would I expect, but I can see why people would be disappointed if they thought they'd won a ticket and have to pay 80/90 euros to collect it.
My father won tickets in a Breaffy Raffle one year... Or should I say, he found out that he won an option to buy the tickets... Talk about squeezing every last penny out of people!
Hopefully that isn't the case this time around.
I will travel, I've no ticket and I will go in the hope I will get one.
Stop, its a bug bear of mine now, I see Breaffy raffling 2 tickets, other clubs in Mayo. Then I'm tagged on about 20 different clubs who are selling houses and raffling tickets. Buy a house in Kerry and win 2 AI tickets ffs!
Anyway, Mayo News podcast time!
It's a bit ridiculous not upping the attendance to at least 60,000. How many are going to chance their arm on the day and travel to Dublin anyway? Would the extra 20,000 not be safer inside Croke Park with some ventilation rather than crammed into pubs around Drumcondra and the rest of the country?
Adding insult to injury then is the farce of clubs outside the two counties having draws for tickets. Could they not have dispensed that for the year that was in it and at least tried to have ensured Mayo and Tyrone got the vast amount of tickets?
750 I'd say Tyrone are likely to get some.
And he spotted everything that was ever to be seen there
Not saying Mayo County Board should raise an objection but they should at the very least question his appointment for the final.
When you question the appointment of refs, they tend to go overboard in trying to appear impartial. Example South African TMO for second Lions game.
I think it means an additional 1,150 tickets, hopefully all to ST holders
Gough was a linesman in the Connacht Final.
50% capacity confirmed, no change! FFS. Thats gonna mean lots are not gonna get tickets. I hate the finals without STs.
Agreed and going against what I said above, we CANNOT use the ref as an excuse for any of our loses in reality and not this one either. He should have a strong sideline with him.
It's up to the team to hopefully let their football decide the outcome.
As poor as Conor Lane was, we still won.
I am still trying to find out if Gough has been available this season as I THINK he ruled himself out of last season.
If Gough is available then its shocking that this lad has gotten the gig, he has shown, like Lane, his complete inability to control a game and from a Mayo view he shafted us in a number of Ai finals.
That said, we take it and not leave the result of this game hanging on the ref and his lack of ability.
Gough is the fairest and most consistent, he also has the best team around him and uses them for every game he does,it's the closest to professional you can get.
I've seen how incompetent Mcquillan can be and how he has lost control of games. The fact that he's from Ulster and Tyrone are familiar with him is also a disadvantage for us.They know what they can get away with and what to be careful with.
