There was no mention of anyone being raped until you brought it up, it has nothing to do with the hypothetical 700,000 Pakistani immigrants that don’t exist in any case. Never mind what you think I’m saying in theory, what I’m saying in practice is that I’d take my chances with the hypothetical 700,000 Pakistani immigrants than have to endure Anne Widdecombe. Thankfully, I don’t have to do either as it’s an entirely hypothetical scenario.
If you want to make comparisons between cultures on the basis of the number of girls and women raped in the UK, you’ll inevitably find that far more rapists and those people who enabled them share far more in common with Anne Widdecombe than they do with the hypothetical 700,000 Pakistani immigrants that don’t exist.
I've just been reading about fertility rates in Pakistan. The average is 3.5 children per woman. The average fertility rate in Ireland is approximately 2 children per woman.
If 700,000 Pakistanis migrated to Ireland over several years, it would mean that the Pakistani population would eventually overpopulate the indigenous population. That would, by logic alone, destroy Irish culture - slowly, yes, but surely.
As for "taking the risk with 700,000 Pakistanis", note that polls show that 46% of Pakistanis say that people who are in same-sex relationships should be charged as criminals.
That means you'd be happy for something like 330,000 Pakistanis to enter the country, despite them having exactly the same view on homosexuality as Anne Widdecombe. Of course, you might argue, "...but we don't know what views each individual holds, and we could be lucky and get the ones who don't believe this". Yes, but we simply don't have the tools to establish this, therefore the only thing we can do is go by statistics. And statistically speaking, if you were to migrate 700,000 into the country, you'd be likely to have 45% who believe homosexuality should be a criminal offense.
We can live in fantasy land and hope they're as liberal as yourself, but reality suggests that things often work out very differently indeed.
Definately no child grooming gangs or bombers in any other nationalities! no siree!
How do mods let you constantly try to derail threads, deflect from genuine questions and insult other posters, it's a bit mad TBH
And what do the.victims of rape have to do with future Pakistani immigration?
You’ve some cheek hypothesising about 700,000 Pakistani immigrants and making any suggestions about reality 😂
G’wan 😂
Why increase the odds of it happening again, would be my guess.
You answered you're own question there.
And how would we increase the odds of grooming gangs happening again?
or how should we decrease those.odds?
Well, there are two questions there.
First, how to deal with extant grooming gangs and second, how to prevent the development of future gangs.
I'm more concerned about the second question because that's what's related to multiculturalism in the here and now, and to prevent that we must have a robust immigration system in place that reduces migration from Islamic countries with a primitive view of women.
To paraphrase Prince Charles on the topic of love, "whatever multiculturalism means". I prefer people to just blend in, while still being allowed keep their private religious beliefs. I prefer the French concept of laicité. I dont support quotas along the lines of Affirnative Action in America unless there is clear evidence of discrimination.
I am not a fan of identity politics. I have noticed how divisive it has been in the U.S. and to a lesser extent in the U.K., including White identity politics on the Right. I think having shown generosity by allowing migration, the State is entitled to expect some goodwill in return from the beneficiaries who are getting a much better standard of living. So I take a dim view of Identity Politics imported from the U.S. because it tends to be divisive and I prefer we adopt French-style concepts of a united Republic based on citizenship, rather than ethnic or religious identity.
You're suggesting that Islamic men are more likely to rape?
If you come from a society that, at best, treats women as second-class citizens, don't be surprised when the risk of rape is higher per capita compared to Western nations that treat women equally.
So? You are saying what?
Muslim men are more likely to rape or is it just Pakistani men?
We must accept that other countries around the world treat women as second-class citizens.
Don't be surprised, to give one of thousands of possible examples, when 58% of men convicted in Sweden of rape and attempted rape over the past five years were born abroad.
The Mission Investigation programme, due to be broadcast on Wednesday by SVT, said the total number of offenders over five years was 843. Of those, 197 were from the Middle East and North Africa, with 45 coming from Afghanistan.
These statistics are repeated right throughout Europe. Now, it doesn't mean that white Europeans don't commit rape, of course they do. But what we find is that migrants from Islam-dominated countries are disproportionately and significantly more likely to commit sexual offenses against women.
Let's not also forget the 1,200 women who were sexually assaulted in Cologne on New Years' Eve 2015 - with most of the perpetrators being described by police as having come from North African or Middle Eastern countries.
So, you are saying that a Muslim man is more likely to commit rape then a non Muslim man? Or is it the man's nationality?
a Pakistani man is more likely to commit rape then a non Pakistani man?
I've already answered this question.
I've backed it up with statistics. Those statistics are replicated throughout Europe on a gigantic scale - including existing prison populations for sexual offenses against women.
You cannot back up something that has not happened with statistics.
you can only back it up with prejudice and discrimination.
If you need to be pedantic, you can't back up something that has not happened with statistics or with anything else because it did NOT happen. What you can do is predict that it will happen using those statistics. Or, is it wrong to expect the same results when doing the same things as the others?
Afghanistan is not a safe country for women.
rape is endemic in some parts of society there..
The worst countries for the safety and security of women...Drum roll, please. ... It's a tie — Syria and Afghanistan.
Those two countries are the worst places to be a woman, according to the 2018 Women, Peace and Security Index, put together by the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security and the Peace Research Institute of Oslo.
their outlook won’t change because they see a tricolor at the airport, it’s a cultural mindset.
^ here is an example, woman sentenced to jail for adultery... her act of adultery... she was raped. Rape = adultery to an intelligent Afghan judge...
those are the people supposed to design, uphold and implement laws, fairness and to protect the innocent ...
get raped ? Off to jail..
and we want to import this sort of enlightenment. Fûck that.
Sorry.
you meet a male from Pakistan and a male from leitrim. You cannot presume that the man from Pakistan is more likely to be a rapist.
Prejudging people based on their nationality or religion is discrimination, or if you prefer, racist.
Yep I agree, it is not a safe country for.women, particularly now that the Taliban have taken over. We should help any females who wish to leave.
Which type of enlightenment are we importing?
12% in UK prisons for rape are Muslim men. Muslims are 4% of the population and men are less again.
Some one did an FOI

Of course it is racist and also it has nothing to do with the point we were discussing - that is a large influx of ME migrants will also bring a lot of problems, including sexual assaults, rapes and child grooming gangs, as already seen in other countries.
Can you prove that those specific crimes will increase?
or are you just happy to be racist?
You can't prove the future, you can only try to predict it based of whatever data you have. The data we have supports my prediction.
I'm happy to be pragmatic and realistic.
One of the problems with the pro-Multiculturalism lobby is that they often assume that everyone, all over the world, is lovely and cuddly and has the same liberal, progressive views that we do. We can take in as many as we want, no matter what part of the world they come from, and it'll all work out fine and dandy.
It's a delusion.
As @Cordell has argued, we need to be pragmatic and realistic - and not base our decisions on unfounded claims rooted in emotion rather than evidence.
I think you will find that most people are extremely realistic and they know that everybody, no matter what their background or where they are from, can be capable of committing crime.
To say that people are more likely to commit rape because of their nationality is racist.
You cannot claim that people of a certain nationality are more likely to be rapists then Irish people, for example.
The crimes of others are not an indicator of individuals.
But of course, you know that, you have already admitted to being racist
Technically it's xenophobic. Also, that's not what I'm saying.
People from certain cultures are overrepresented in sex related convictions and no matter how much you dislike it and how racist you say it is to state it it's still a fact.
