Poor bus drivers. Yet another nail in the coffin of their human rights.

It is still running 24 hours a day. It is reliable enough and numbers on it seem to be decent .
I've used it once or twice around midnight from town since pubs reopened and it does attract decent numbers but not so many that it's stopping at every single busstop which makes the journey feel quick out to Ongar. I'd imagine the services around 3/4/5am are fairly deserted especially with post midnight nightlife non existent currently.
It really is a fantastic addition to D15 public transport.....if you're in it's catchment area!
To be fair , even before the 24 hour service came in , I remember being told by a driver that buses were practically full after Hartstown heading to the City at 5am in the morning. It's one of few , if any bus routes , I know of that run every 10 minutes at that hour of the morning . Full of builders etc
A few weeks ago i had to take the 39a during 5am on a sunday and it was full before reaching blakestown. the demand is definitely there. As someone else said, it would be a great benefit if the 39a would do the 39 route during the 24hour period (after 23:30 to 4:00) and serve blanch village, clonsilla, coolmine and parts of carpenterstown (from clonsilla road) I know they probably wont do it but serving those areas would be great and its not going to dramatically have an impact on the running time. But still, its better having a 24hour route than not having one.
I wonder what mode of transport did all those people currently filling buses at 5am use prior to the 24 hour service? Taxis or city centre parking would surely have been cost prohibitive for most of them?
sure the first buses were always 5am . well at least for the last few years.
