Only fifty grand to live in God's house.
720k though, yikes.
I cant see much wrong with that house. There wouldnt be a lot to do in it other than some decorating. If that was the location you wanted, the price is probably around average for that area.
It looks like a sound, decent house. Obviously had a new coat of paint throughout, though they made a mess of the side of that box affair in the living room. The decor in general is rather sad but its all cosmetic and could be easily fixed.
The difference in price though between that one at 720k and almost identical houses in, say, county Waterford where the same house would fetch 250k is a bit eyewatering. Location, location, location!
Half the house stuck in 1970, half the house in 2020. The side positioning of the smoke alarm in photo 2 tells me the owner would rather use the instructions in the roach of a bulked up spliff than actually read them, a different time I suppose.

Home stay dementia patient would probably be the most likely then.
Looks like a heavier person than a toddler lying on that side of the bed
Or they bedshare with a toddler.
From image 5 it seems someone has a problem falling out of the bed when asleep, Id say thats some fright for people who it happens
They certainly like their telly time. I counted 6 and thats only the ones we can see.
The Chalet in the back garden is a bit much
I wouldn't say that's excessive.
I'd love to find something llike that for that money in Limerick.
Especially with the converted gym.
Someone went a bit O.T.T. during lockdown with their reno.

Sweet mother of jesus 😟.
on a positive note, the shot of the front entrance with the gates is beautiful.
I would not want them, but the only reason they work at all is because of that ledge that runs all round the edge so there is a sense of the sky being beyond the ledge rather than just appearing at the junction of the ceiling and the wall.
Probably. But surely there's some sort of undercoat and then top coat that could sort them out without having to rip them down.
Or maybe they are just panels that can be unscrewed and removed.
They look like glass, I thought?
They could be painted over.
Those ceilings are honestly absolutely shocking. Not sure it be a cheap or easy job removing and sorting out.
We viewed this house in February! Was up previously at €725k, was at €695k when we saw it, was then withdrawn from the market after another month or so. TBH some bits are lovely but some need a bit of work, and I think 90% of people with kids would end up ripping out that bar. Plus you don't see there are steps down from the footpath/gate to the front patio, and some more internal steps within the house itself (from the bar level down to the kitchen/living room level). As to why it hasn't sold in a strong market, the location is not really great with kids I think; the road/junction it is on is very busy, all the time.
ah I think if you like them it would work in any space. Ive a mate who renovated a guest bedroom and just for a bit of craic put that sky & cloud decals on the ceiling. It is kind of funny waking up in the bed and seeing it first thing in the morning. But for me its more of a novelty thing that would tire quickly enough. He said the same, thats why they didnt do it in their own bedroom and they dont have it anywhere else in the house. But any guest that stays for a night in the bedroom gets a bit of a laugh out of it.
iirc he said Etsy is where he got it and theres any number of different designs/decals for ceilings there.
Oh yeah, pity about the streetview though, horrible looking estate outside
Wonder how many ppl have opened up umbrellas in there.. 😁
I really like some of those ceilings, the sky one is particularly eye catching. It's only work in a large space like that though wouldn't it?
Oh I know, they should be painted magnolia, terrible altogether
Genuinely one of the most unusual things I've seen on here.
Beautiful house though. I'd say the ceilings are easily removed if you don't like them.
the ceilings!!!
All the opulence and fancy photos .... and then the wonky washing machine with the shelf beneath it collapsing 😁
I think it's a landfill. I believe it's being turned into a park but you never know where a council is concerned.
