There is no question about whether he was being hounded - he was. And this has been publicly acknowledged at a high level.
The question is why.
Hello Moonunit - I see you've set up a new account.
😂🤣😂
Ha ha, no not moonunit. Is it so hard to believe there's at least one other not in the Bailey boy fan club??
Gussie - Buttimer was on the radio this morning. He said how the trial in France was a farce and that this was 'acknowledged at a high level'. Sure we can all say things are acknowledged at a high level. Doesn't make it so. In fact you could say it is acknowledged at a high level that Bailey is suspect no. 1. Again doesn't make it so.
Well it was acknowledged at a high level because he was convicted of murder in France but the government here let him carry on as is. If that's not a demonstrated acknowledgement that the judgement was farcical I don't know what is. Also, Bailey very obviously is Suspect number 1. Haven't heard of any serious investigation into anyone else, although that may be partly because the French wouldn't allow our law enforcement to interrogate their citizens.
Not sure I follow you there prefab, You seemed to be suggesting that jim wallace was getting the "hounding" story from Bailey. I was pointing out that far more credible sources than Bailey make the same claim.
Bailey is without question the No 1 suspect, so no need for acknowledgement .
I do agree, however, that saying something does not make it so.
One would think so. But they were also chopping down brambles to send off for analysis so many scenarios are possible. A blood spot on boots could have been missed at the scene, found later, then analyzed. By that time there's no telling where it came from.
How does this happen later - blood get on presumably bagged up evidence such as boots?
I didn't say it happened later. I said possibly FOUND later. I think I read it was found on the laces. And since I haven't read the actual evidence file I don't know the sequence of events. Were the boots removed at the scene or in the morgue?
Oh ok you think possibly blood got onto the laces from the morgue?
You would think they would have procedures for avoiding contamination but it could happen though I think its reasinable to consider that it probably came from the scene.
No, that is not what I think or what I said. Again the word FOUND is the key here. P.S. It's *reasonable.
IB was convicted in France for a crime committed here, I guess that's the reason France has had so much trouble trying to extradite him. The original extradition proceedings were for questioning but Ireland doesn't extradite people just for questioning. If he was a fugitive from French authorities for a crime committed in France he would probably have been extradited by now.
It is is west cork part 14. The bags were open when the french expert got them.
The French scientist was shown nine exhibit bags Bantry Garda station. She took samples to France and ran tests
On a swab of whitish trace near laces on sophies left boot they found the DNA profile of unknown male
West Cork producers took it to an independent experts who said it might have been on the boot before the attack or contamination after the fact
is there a thread about the latest revelations on Bailey?
what latest revelations?
If the Irish authorities could not find the evidence needed to send Bailey to trial for murder, they were hardly going to give him up to France to do the same.
Realistically, how did France try and convict Bailey of murder? When Ireland, holding all the facts and hard crime scene evidence could not?
The Irish prosecution service, deemed there wasn't anything worthy to pin on Bailey that would warrant him to be tried for the crime of murder.
But yet, the French President deemed it appropriate to offer Bailey a fresh trial should he agree to participate in one....
That's akin to sticking two fingers up at the Irish prosecution service (we can deliver the conviction, you couldn't)
And furthermore, cause harassment of an Irish citizen that is entitled to the assumption of innocence until proven guilty in a court of law.
Remember... Didn't the French refuse the Irish investigators any access to the French witnesses?? Not allowed to interview people of interest??
Macron has some neck...
I wonder is Bailey an Irish citizen?
you can easily find that out.
I suspect you are correct.
Moonunit's twitter feed is almost as aggressive as their posting here https://twitter.com/nfoster66?lang=en
Speculation on reddit that IB and Jules drove up to Toormore after Ian saying there looked to be a party in Alfie’s that night.
he wants to be on The Late Late Show
Which thread? I'm in the reddit discussions
LOL but that's not actually moonies twitter 🤣 it's the trolls who post on Nicks tweets that are horrendous
Thanks. You're a mine of information.

ha ha but did you not google?
which held that section 44 of the European Arrest Warrant Act 2003 prohibited surrender because the alleged offence was committed outside French territory and Irish law did not allow prosecution for the same offence when committed outside its territory by a non-Irish citizen. Mr Bailey is a British citizen.

What are the chances of finding new forensic evidence now? Perhaps use of new techniques or methods such as LIDAR or other technical developments.
Josephine hellen got the heating fixed before she arrived. This was not the reason she visited. The reason remains a mystery.
*A citizen of Ireland
*My bad.....
