Ridiculous comment.
I'm not sure the local GAA commentary audio works when the team aren't winning their first cup in years (e.g Shannonside audio from yesterdays pod). I enjoy the Mayo, Limerick 2017 audios
I disagree.
He seemed to have all the answers when on the ditch. It then became apparent very quickly that he was completely clueless despite operating towards the lower end of inter county football.
It would be ridiculous for him to return to the media role he had before in my opinion.
Jamie Wall is some treasure on the analysis!!
Honestly can you not tell the difference between being able to analyse a game, and being able to get your message across as a manager. They are different things.
You're essentially saying anyone who has never proven themselves as a manager has no right to analyze or give an opinion.
Of course they have.
Not everyone is going to respect their opinions like before though.
Like. Like. Like. Like. Like.
Jonathan Wilson really should have said he didn't have an opinion on Klopp's comments about the refereeing if he didn't watch the match live.
I won’t complain about that, I’m as bad
Cork racist...
The constant Simpsons analogies get a bit grating fairly quickly.
But not as bad as the man under one's.
Still better than the likes of duingan talking "pure dung"!!
Delighted to finally find one of these today.
Interesting chat on Tyrone/COVID issue. Murph was dead right on the Tyrone management. In an ideal world they should have been turfed out. I can see why he feels so strongly about it considering he's a club player and he's had COVID. Interesting I can't remember him missing in Jan. 'kin COVID - leave the boys alone.
Yeah very illuminating episode.
So what I took from it was that Tyrone were gaming the system by taking a risk on not getting jabbed, knowing that the jab can physically take you down a few percentages and therefore opening themselves up to a greater risk of infection. Which happened.
If that can be proved they should be thrown out for a year.
Don't think Murph mentioned he had Covid before, was hard to disagree with him on the Tyrone issue.
Even as McConville as ranting last week I knew they were going to play his words over and over again.
you can only throw teams out of competitions for breaking the rules. There’s no rule within the competition about enforcing vaccinations.
you can question the decision morally but you can’t make up rules and punishments
Yeah, fair enough, I kinda knew they couldn't. I was just lighting a torch and running around the neighbourhood in outrage.
nonsense
Off to Portugal!

Boooo-urns
I see the new pod just dropped - had hoped they were doing some hasty re-recording to take into account the Ronaldo developments, but i don't see any reference to it in the description :-/
I see it also mentions that some players are just not getting the vaccine - which is so totally insane to me! Surely the summer break was the absolute ideal time for all of them to get sorted, even if they feared some little short term performance drop, given that any drop will be only a fraction of what actually getting covid will cause - especially with the exponentially rising likelihood of getting covid sooner or later if unvaccinated at this stage. Had it myself last year, and like Murph still feel the effects of it at times. Seems like total professional negligence to not mitigate against the very real possibility of getting a bad dose of it, or just niggling long term effects.
If Ronaldo to Utd doesn’t necessitate an emergency podcast I don’t know what does !
Why would it? What's the takeaway that would need analysis?
On the Tyrone/COVID thing, I got the impression all along that there was more to the story, and looks to be the case. Murph was on Radio 1 this morning on the same topic. While there might not be a rule there now, I can see a time where it might be added to the rulebook. And as much as there isn't a rule, Tyrone were ready to throw their toys out of the pram to get an extra week for what is now looking like their own doing.
WE NEED TOTAL COVERAGE !!!
Ken is going to Portugal for the international break next week! It's been too long since Ken has been travelling :)
Seems to have sorted a 3 or 4 day break out of it too..
You don’t have to throw them out. You make them play the original fixture as arranged with whatever players they have available. Like all teams have to do.
someone else said throw them out if they were found to purposely avoid vaccinations
Yeah, couldn’t really do that purely because of not taking vaccinations - but, there could be grounds for it on the basis of them lobbying for a 2 week delay, throwing the club calendar into disarray, without disclosing up front that the problem was entirely of their own making from having so many unvaccinated players.
Would the same decision have been made if everyone knew that from the start? Think public opinion in particular would have been very different. It turns the whole story from being unlucky to being negligent.
Negligent bordering on playing the system. It’s a case of getting lads fit and they totally beat the GAA by playing a game.
