But you don’t know if the Tyrone players got the vaccine or not. For all we know they could have got it and still have gotten covid. It’s none of anyone’s business either way.
The suggestion that Tyrone players didn’t get vaccinated to avoid impact on performance was reported in the Examiner and so is, I think, a reasonable topic for discussion here. I’m also assuming that the examiner wouldn’t print without some basis.
if it is true, no extension should have been given as the players bear a reasonable amount of responsibility for the outcome on the panel. (The vaccine doesn’t give 100% coverage but probably have mitigated the issue significantly )

John Fogarty mentioend it in a piece he did last week. Kerry fully vaccinated, Mayo mostly vaccinated. Dublin not mentioned that I could see.

I am not on at all about whether teams are vaccinated or not. What you posted regarding vaccination and getting COVID is totally incorrect. That what I am mainly pulling you up about.

All I asked of the poster was for some detailed analysis as to why they came to that conclusion.

Any GAA fans here agree with the two tier rules when it comes to 40000 people crowding Croke Park, no checks on if you are vaccinated or not, people hugging kissing and jumping on each other and potentially causing a massive spike in virus cases, compared to outdoor concerts with much less people allowed and checks on vaccines?

Well to completely ignore your silly hyperbolic whatabaoutery and answer your original question at face value, no I dont agree with it. I'll be in Croke Park on Saturday for the Kerry game, I've already been to 2 Dublin games, wore my mask and didnt enter into "the crowd" while getting to/from the stadium as much as possible.
I'd also buy tickets for any concert that was held and I dont know why the govt have decided to take the route they have tbh. I'd go to the gig and take the same precautions I would while going to a game.

Where did this notion come from that somebody would "go under for two weeks" if they took the vaccine? Or that it would "inhibit performance"? His comments are type of unscientific bs you hear anti-vaxxers coming out with.
And it would make you seriously question the "medical advice" that they have cited to get the game put back. I think Tyrone saw their opportunity to use covid as an excuse after a tight game against Monaghan, they now have everyone fit and available so the extra weeks has given lads a chance to get back from injury.
It has been a masterstroke so far from Tyrone, if they can get the job done then fair play to em. The plan will have worked a treat.

Thats not what I said. I don't think the covid outbreak was as bad as they made it out to be and they used it as an excuse to get the game put off so they could get all their injured players right and have a full squad for the Kerry game.
As a Mayo supporter. I hope Kerry beat Tyrone after all this. Even though they are a tougher proposition for us.
Fully expect Kerry to win with a bit to spare think they are a at another level to Tyrone .

Doesn't matter who they're playing, I just can't bring myself to support a Tyrone team, so I'll be cheering against Ulster in this one, Francie.
I'm sure Tyrone fans will be devastated, certainly won't crack their holes laughing at my own county's performances (or lack thereof), and under no circumstances would they accuse me of sour grapes!
