Hmm....gonna have to do some comparison with the Watch3, or else fire this back to Samsung. Finding the screen extremely lacking in vividness and brightness TBH. Not something I've heard levelled at the device in any reviews so could be a faulty unit (Classic BTW). Dialling up the brightness produces a very washed out image that doesn't come close to the Watch3.

Arrived a while ago. Not a fan of the strap but otherwise like it so far. Haven't tried the earbuds yet but will give them a go later

Yeah, the notifications are noticeably faster on the 4 than they are on the 3, get a ding on the watch almost instantly to the phone, i didnt think I'd like the strap but they are growing on me. Can't claim the credit yet, must try later

Same here, I'd say they havent it up fully yet, wait till after 9 and it'll be sorted, they seem to be on the ball with the claims this year
Anyone know the story for the trade in? Do I need to return watch, straps and charger etc in original box?
Somewhere in the phone trade in T&Cs it said to include as many original items as possible including the box. 2 straps on my old watch are fecked, but will send it back with the one that's on it now
I did mine last night and got confirmation it's ok this morning.
I just took the purchase date from the invoice that was attached to the email I received when I bought it.
Yeah Samsung go a bit overboard with these promotions for there requirements
1- Purchase date and Invoice number (couldn't find it and put the number under the barcode, Bought from Samsung store online)
2- Picture of the back of your watch
3- Receipt of your purchase
You're emailed the card when it's processed, Could take a week
the claim site was throwing silly errors about dates being wrong this morning, so they had an issue. but its been fixed this then
Enjoying the watch, battery life is a bit meh and the tiles doesn't have a lot of options atm
Not many watch faces and apps but that's understanable considering it's a new platform.
No more watch stuff on the Galaxy store, all through Google play store now
I'm enjoying the watch as well, just realized that this is my 5th smart watch, I'd the Pebble, the Galaxy Watch, the Watch 3, the Active and now this 1, I think I might have a bit of a problem.........
Can't say I'm noticing much of a difference between this and the 3, I'm guessing this will come with a few software updates, the notifications are blazingly fast though, I think I got 1 on the watch before the phone earlier.
My first smartwatch was one i got from Pigsback and the thing was a piece of ****, battery lasted 2 hours max and the features mostly never worked (it had a speaker on it and sometimes it would play audio from my phone if i connected it), then moved to the Samsung Watch Active and loved it til it broke a few weeks ago and now onto Watch4.
I can see a big difference between the Active and Watch 4 in certain areas, the speed of the notifications is amazing, spotify controller works great and having apps such as google pay and google maps is a winner
Finding the Spotify app a bit all over the place when youre not connected to your phone, when trying to play it on my watch speaker it never keeps the connection. Reckon it might be an app thing and it will be fixed in due course
happy enough with the GW4 Classic, one thing that i'm not so keen on is the strap, with its design it makes the bend of the strap wrap around somewhat aqwardly so definitely be on the lookout for alternate band/s

I'm hearing mixed reviews about Google Pay working on the new watches, something about it not being "ready" yet.
Has anyone tried it?
@BArra I've small enough wrists, so I got some new straps on amazon, much better for me anyway.
@feargantae I tried it and it's working great. I was also able to pay without my phone being connected which is cool. Looks like Payment synced again when I reconnected to the phone. I'm using it with Revolut by the way.

Samsung Pay not available is my main issue with my current Galaxy Watch.
There's not a great amount of free watch faces available atm. The watch4 uses Google play store and has nothing the galaxy store
The new platform is really telling now with the failure of Samsung pay in Ireland. Google pay on the device is so much easier
Hope I'm wrong but has the reward been changed to Google Play Store gift card instead of a mastercard. Can't see myself wanting anything from the play store
The reward is definitely still listed as a prepaid Mastercard in their ts&cs anyway. They're just being a little sneeky by phrasing it in a way that's "a prepaid card that can be used on Google Play".

Don't have Samsung phone using One plus so wondering how users are finding it using it with a non Samsung phone. I can see that you can use modded version of the Samsung Health Monitor app
Also battery seems not to be the best but wonder if this will improve over time and was trying to compare it to Ticwatch pro 3 which seems to have better battery and watched the below however Samsung looks bit better and over time will get more updates i.e. Google Assistant
So any input from users who currently have it especially those with non Samsung phone as looking to make a decision over coming week
