Small issue. You seem to be claiming that SF kids at the moment have to emigrate because of FF/FG. Yet on this thread people are claiming SF are the most popular party in young people. The only reason these young people have jobs and can stay in Ireland is because of FF/FG.
I fear when SF do come in that it won't be just FF/FG kids having to emigrate, everyone will have to start, young & old.
As per this thread, if SF do want to get into power they will need FF/FG. Comments like the above is another nail into any FF/FG looking at SF as a partner.

I think FF coalition must likely. Although you could see a complete collapse of the FF vote if they don't get a new leader and sense of direction soon. Greens will take their routine decimation. Holding to my prediction that Leo will lead FG back to their 2020 GE showing, circa 20%. Which will make government formation interesting.

The recession led to thousands of kids having to emigrate, the reason SF are more popular than FF and FG in the under 45s is because most people left behind or stayed hates FF/FG as they forced friends, girl/boy friends, family members to emigrate.

Well, considering the constant whinging and moaning about every.little.thing the government does or doesn't do gets the usual people and online mob all upset, they sure have a high opinion of themselves and indeed what their politicians are meant to deliver. One would swear we are living in some kind of poverty-ridden failed state. They all want to see SF take the mantle, but again, what change will that bring?

Yes some people left in the recession, they are all home in the majority now. Bar the people who left and stayed away which always happens a few. The recession was in 2008 so if you went to college and came out in 2008-2012 you would have been 25-30? which is now 35-40 and will be closer to 45 come next election.
So much for the young vote. The young vote are the people walking out now and straight into a job. Thanks to FF and FG for the recovery. Fix the housing which is the current plan and all sorted for this vote. Even better, implement a proper work from home and happy days, I know with the help of the government loads of companies are doing.
This "SF are the most popular party" maybe true. Doesn't really matter because the only people that matter is the government. Fairly pointless been popular and sitting in the opposition stands :-)

So why have the parties of the power swap combined vote share fallen from 86% to ust over 40% in GE's and if polls are to be believed, below 40% in the current poll? The main party in the power swap over the decades, languishing at 15%.
but nothing to stop FF & FG continuing in government together, also the Greens are starting to work well. So far they haven't done a bad job all of them.
