The earlier update you got was probably something else (digital manual or something).
The 2.3 update comes in 2 parts and the first part will still show as 0792, which is what you now said you have showing, so it looks like it was part 1 you got this morning.
You need to wait for part 2 which is where the big update is and then you will see 0910 and 2.3 in the software version page.
I think when people think budget they assume the cheap "ditchfinder" brands with names you've never heard of.
Hankook are a reputable brand afaik
Perhaps when you finish the update it will be the full part 2? After your previous update did you notice enhanced road sign recognition?
Just had mine serviced. Was told the front tyres may need replacing but still legal at 3mm..Asked them to rotate the tyres back to front as they were perfect..
That suited me as changing to VW id3 in the next few months..So ask the question ...Can you rotate back with the front..
Each to their own, I've gotten on fine with budget tyres for years. It's down to mileage and the roads you drive one really. I mean there's safety regulations around tyres and if you look at the reviews of the likes of Hankook's budget tyres they tend to do as well as other brands. There's also a lot more information in tyre labels now so you can see if the tyres you're buying are rated for snow or ice
If you're low mileage and there's very rarely snow on the roads, and you can drive slower when there is then budget tyres should be fine IMO
If I was doing high mileage or lived in an area prone to snow then yes I'd absolultely spring for higher end tyres
I thought that I was installing part 2 today. Had an update about 2 weeks ago which I assumed was part 1.
Thats normal.
It wont show v2.3(0910) until you install part 2 so you just have to wait now until you get the next prompt to install part 2.
That one takes 2hrs+ so once you get the prompt to install part 2 make sure you are at 50%+ SoC and that you dont need the car for several hours.
Thanks for the replies, got to the car just after 12 and there was a pop-up about finishing the update. Software screen still says 0792, so I don't know what's going on. App works fine though.

I have to say I absolutely love the car but its our first EV and a big leap forward in years also. Its so easy.
My 2.3 part1 took about 1 hour and part2 about 2 hours. But there were 15 days between the two..
Might be cutting it close, I think the big update can take 4 hours or something

Part 1 is only an hour. Part 2, which is a separate install, is 2hrs+
Ah here! That's frightening "advice". Please don't skimp on tyres!!!
Put some decent tyres on the car for goodness sake. If you're about to spend 40k+ on a EV, a set of tyres on the old car (the only things keeping you relatively safely on the road through the winter) is absolutely buttons in the grand scheme.
My 2.3 update warnings came on this morning while driving to work. Parked and started the update at 6.00am. How long is it likely to take ?

It's down to a slightly less extortionate 73c/kWh now. I think they were charging the wrong vat rate initially
You can use Ionity anyway if you use the app, but We Charge is probably handier since they give you an RFID which tends to be simpler
I haven't had the need to use Ionity yet, but if it's just occasional use then the high price isn't too bad
Presumably, if you have the WeCharge Free, you can use Ionity, albeit at the extortionate price of €0.79/kWh. Might be good to have in a pinch, along with ecars (I assume there's nothing stopping you from having both).
Yeah best to think of it like roaming charges with a mobile, you're paying extra to use someone else's network
We charge is really only useful for Ionity in Ireland, and only if you have use for one of the paid plans or got a load of free credit like the 1st movers
It could be handier for travelling as it gives you access to a lot of European charging networks, albeit not at the best prices

You could just get some budget tyres, they won't last as long but if it's only 6 months then you can pass the problem along to the next owner

As far as I can see its the same network as eCars but more expensive per KWH ?

Had that twice before before 2.1. Never stopped the car working and it disappears when I left the car off for a few hours.
