Paul Murphy is calling for more Afghans refugees to be accepted in Ireland now.
He has sorted Covid lockdown, housing crisis, pedestrian passes, free public transport, SUVs in Dublin, different job schemes etc... Now it is time to tackle immigration from Afghanistan
Such a productive TD !
Regardless of his record, he's voicing an opinion and one that I would hope a good section of society would agree with...
The “good section” tend to live in areas far from where refugees would be housed, so nobody can take that seriously.
Sure. Everything for free for everyone.
Anyway I read recently that Murphy and his party was aligned to a British trotskyite group who oppose a united Ireland. Instead they want Ireland in the United Kingdom (albeit under a different name as it will be a socialist republic). You can see the appeal to a man brought up in deep Dublin south city.
He walks out, does an interview and walks back in and sits down. Will he actually do anything to help or bring in more refugees? No
What he will do is what he always does, sweet f**k all.
... and collect a very generous salary doing so.
The Afghans might be able to tell him a few harsh realities about life under the yoke of his magnificent USSR.
The population of Afghanistan is 38 million.
Does he want all 38 million to be taken in by countries?
Or what's his number?
There's probably a number between zero and 38 million that is more probable.
A fairly large group of Afghanistan's ( i.e. women) would look favourably on the USSR.
Wait so he wants us to continue lockdown indefinitely because of the risk of covid deaths while at the same time allowing potentially thousands of unvaccinated people in with no controls? Yep that sounds like Paul Murphys usual cognitive dissonance at work
I hope this man is gone with the wind at the next election. The most useless TD in the country
Murphy and his ilk really aren't that different to the likes of Gemma and John.
They're just cunning enough to keep their hardline stuff firmly in the background while roaring for free everything.
That's his point, he's a FF/FG plant.
Yep. Far left and far right - both vile.
In my view, Murphy is in the game for the money.
Terribly easy to exploit a target population who are dissatisfied with the economic status quo.
Murphy is well aware that his work is financially rewarding. I don't believe that he believes as much as what he claims to believe.
I doubt money is his motivation. He went to the best of schools, has a degree in law and has a well connected family where a number of options would've been open to him.
I don't like the guy, I wouldn't vote for him in a fit and I'd disagree with a lot of what he says. But I don't think money is a motivation for him.
I think a lot of politicians start out with good intentions, then once the financial benefits become manifest, they appeal to the audience to continue that income stream - which clearly is in their interests not to lose.
I'd apply the same principle to the other goons - such as Mick Wallace, Clare Daily, and Ming Flanagan.
We haven't heard a word about their left-wing credentials since they abandoned the country to join the gravy train over in Brussels.
another one these guys who has all the solutions but would run a mile if he got the chance to actually put his plans into practice he knows darn well his utterings are pie in the sky so he will always stay on the sidelines utter spoofer .
Remember he and a few similar got involved when they started college so aged 18 it's a form of indoctrination bit like any religion so yes I would say he is a true believer hard as that is to understand.
Just wonder, how people still voting for that white noise maker?
Unfortunately, society will always have those who want to take down everyone else because they have less money than those they want to take down.
The victimhood mentality of, "I'm poor and destitute, therefore I want to drag everyone else down to my level to make myself feel better".
It's the politics of envy - and that is a very powerful card for a significant slice of the electorate / certain constituencies.
They never have a number. It's always More, More, More. They never commit to a number because once you get to a number they have to actually say no to people.
It's great for virtue signalling purposes, though.
It's set up in a way that, if you oppose too many Afghans entering the country, then it means you are somehow an immoral, nasty person.
Do you really think the destitute vote for him or anyone? what about.. don't understand it, don't agree with it but live and let live to anyone who wants to vote for him and the garbled nosence of the daft left.
He's the sandal wearing vegan George Orwell warned us about.
Has he any connection with that online "media outlet" Rebel Telly?
Do you honestly think the law would be an easier job than politics? the cynicism and lack of understanding that others have genuine heled beliefs is amazing, why is it so difficult to understand that the daft left might actually believe in marxism or whatever theory they are into especially as a lot got into it when very young so the indoctrination is very strong.
Now I personally think a lot of it is nonsecne but dont stereotype or denigrated them for their views.
