Yeah, when the big 2 (ETH and BTC) drop, ADA mostly goes sideways, but when they climb, ADA goes up too. Looks like new ATHs are going to keep coming until the Smart Contracts launch at least 🤞
Why is it ****? Once the the Alonzo hard fork happens there will be a lot more demand for ADA. My take is that Charles is a perfectionist and wants to build something huge for massive adoption.
Yes it has taken a long time to get here and deadlines and promises were missed. I would rather that than have something released quickly which doesn't deliver as promised.
Obviously we don't know how well the new ecosystem will perform yet but I know for a fact the teams have been working round the clock to ensure it is rigorously tested before release

With a sharp rise comes a bit of a fall. I just sold my ADA and will buy back in when it hopefully drops a bit.

What price are you looking to buy back in at? I don't know when you bought in but it'll likely have to drop a good bit to make it worthwhile after you're taxed on the first sale

I'm not looking to double my money or anything. Say I have 500 of a coin. If I think it's a high price, I'll sell it, wait for it to drop a little and buy back in. I might then have 550 of the same coin.... Tho with the up and down nature of crypto, its difficult to predict.... Didn't work out for my recent transaction, I bought back in this morning and now I have 40 less ADA's.... Win some lose some
Could well be another dip after mid September, before one more run around year end. Not selling anything for now, but I’m leaving some funds on the exchange to grab a dip/lull if it happens 🤞
Building the stack like that is a great way to accumulate more coins but the tax that needs to be paid likely makes it not worth it. Even if it worked out this time and you woke up and made 40 extra ADA, the tax bill from selling the original 500 coins would likely to be higher than the profit.

A useful bit of info when trying to figure which way the wind may be blowing is the amount of ADA staked at any given time:
Recently, the staked amount hasn’t reduced to less than 70.1%.
Its not a guarantee or anything, but it is an indication that HODLers are still holding tight for now

I think $4-5 is possible under its own momentum this year, and if Bitcoin goes bananas, who knows where it could end up.
$15 would require a 6-7x of the current market cap of approx B80$, that’s a few years off

Better get my reading glasses in before I start anything remotely serious, had assumed it would be similar to stock trades and CGT where it was an annual thing.
Can anyone link to a page where I can read up on CPT with respect to crypto? While I’m not making much currently (although doubled my ADA stake over a month recently) and prob won’t withdraw for a while, it’s good to know this stuff! Based in UK if that helps..
