it's not just the Toney the step up affects, the guys who tee him up for those goals in the championship have more to do to create the chances, Watkiins would probably struggle to score in the PL if he was still with Brentford or example, but when he plays with Villa they create more.
yeah PL a big step up but Id always reckoned that given he got 33 goals in the championship that he should be good for 12-15 in the PL which for 6.5m would be decent. Maybe he wont perform at that level but I think Im going to give him a few more games to see.
Someone posted that he started 2 of Brighton's 3 friendlies before the season started, and at 4.0 was no brainer to have him in the squad. Then when he stated last week, i decided to bench White this week for him. Veltman is stuck in quarantine so no idea if he's just covering for him or will he keep his place for the season.

I feel that Maupay will provide value at 6.5m - well organised team and should be on penalties. Benteke is also an option. Everyone seem to have high hopes for Toney, but the PL is very different to the championship.
Have him myself, Im thinking stick but the inevitable price drop will hurt. Theres not much around in his price bracket, maybe Dennis at Watford or Armstrong at Southamption

But that's the problem with City unfortunately. Will he start their next game? The fact that he replaced Grealish - is their a risk that he doesn't start? Jesus seem to have good game - but will he start? The only dead cert seems to be Ederson. Interesting that Rodri play today and they won, I think I read that last season one of the few games that he missed was the CL final - and they lost, and he was on bench v spurs, and they lost, while he started today. He gives them something that the rest of the players don't - but means one of the start studded players has to miss out.

With no City coverage, and having transferred out Gundo, and with them winning 5-0, there were serious landmines dodged there.

Well they said last season that Pickford could/should have been booked for the foul on VVD even though it was offside, so i guess it it's a bad challenge then the yellow still stands.
