Yeah the vin is up weeks ago.
It's like a lottery now, dealer said that cars ordered weeks after others are getting them weeks before and it makes no sense.
It would be a pain in the ass getting a my21 in 2022.
Road sign recognition has to be the most dangerous option to add to any car.
I've noticed on the Athlone bypsss where the road goes under the N55 road to Ballymahon / Cavan road - car slows from 100kph to 50kph, does it read the sign on the slip road?
I was in Dublin recently and near Rochfortbridge I think, ACC set to 110kph, all of a sudden the anchors comes on and reduces to 50kph, scared the life out of us as we were not expecting it. Thankfully no cars / trucks coming behind me. Didn't happen on the way home.
It also happens coming into Athlone from the old Galway road and its 80kph and it keeps trying to reduce to 60kph even though the signs are 80kph.
Am very tempted to keep turning it off now as i don't trust it anymore.
The YouTuber Volkswizard has a Mk 8 Golf with similar weird issues.
I think in his case in the UK - the VW software is reading the UK mph signs as km/hr.
Might be worth a watch.
Reports like this definitely make me nervous.
Can you insist on a 2022 plate?
So got in to the car at lunchtime and the driver side seatbelt is jammed tight. Canβt retract it to put it on. Have tried pulling it super slowly but no joy. Have tried reversing a bit then driving forwards to see if itβs a software thing that will suddenly wake up and fix itself. Tried locking and unlocking the car a few times. Anyone had a similar experience/ got any bright ideas?
Probably could not sure I fancy my21 car as 2022. It's just insane, if I had thought it was going to take so long I simply wouldn't have bothered.
I know I feel the exact same. Iβve ordered an ID 4 and it feels like Iβll never get to see it. Could be end of November or into December to which stage Iβll be insisting on a 221 Plate. Iβll even hand over the trade in if they want in Dec.
Is the seatbelt after twisting and getting caught when it retracted the last time?
Had that happen to my golf and it was a fecker to get back straight.
For those waiting on cars, I've been looking at the ships that normally serve Dublin - the Panara and the Patara. Both of them have been anchored up for at least a week, one in the English Channel, the other off the south of Spain. No sign of movement with either of them. So, for whatever reasons (holidays perhaps), the ships have downed tools for the last 10 days. When they start going again, who knows... Factory holidays end today so maybe things will pick up next week.
I've found a couple of places where it's erratic too, which happen to be kind of along the same route as you!
I think both issues are related, and it must be something to do with inaccurate GPS positioning as it seems like the car thinks it's passed through the areas where it needs to slow down, so it starts heading back up towards the ACC limit. It must be using a combination of GPS and the camera, because if it worked 100% off the camera, this particular issue wouldn't happen.
Itβs also to do with the mapping used by VW in the SatNav, AFAIK they use some form of Nokia maps as they bought them a few years back.
I wonder if Audi/Skoda owners have the same problems at the same locations ?
The SatNav Maps donβt get updated regularly, from what Iβve heard it can take up to 6 months for them to add any changes requested by users.
Surprise surprise...
πππ
Mad Lad is fuming right now π
Iβm surprised at how nice a place the cabin is to be. Itβs just gorgeous.
Love it.
Great, well done, you certainly kept that quiet..πποΈ
Congrats, 2 in one day..πποΈ
Lol, I didn't dare say anything after all the drama I've had with this. Dealer contacted me a few weeks back to say he had sourced a MY22 Tour that was on the same boat as fits, due in last Monday.
Deal done, 0% finance applied, and we're off!
HUD and Area View!
Looks fab, thought it was a tour 5 when I saw your first pics (Pic looked as though didn't have the slide out bit on seat)
Delighted for you
Must be cold up there in Donegal? Seat heating on..π
Yeah i agree with this 100%.
There is a setting to deactive it but it doesn't seem to work anymore. So I'm not sure if the latest software update messed it up? Very annoying!
Happy camper.
Well Wear.
Did it come with 2.3?
Apparently so. Although the car says there is a software update available.
Congrats Fits and Phil, Jealous as hell lol
Can't wait to hear what ye think of the id.3.
Taking ours to waterford today. Iβll have to try out the travel assist.
Does the travel assist appear in your menus? I see lane keep assist, side assist and a few other "assists" but not travel assist.
Iβm not sure I confess I didnβt really check. Thereβs a button ( beside climate) that seems to lead to it. The roads we were on yesterday wouldnβt have suited it and I was focussing on how the lane keeping worked.
have absolutely heaps to learn about this car
