They leave mainly because the sight of unionist culture makes they feel sick. They don’t want a prod about the place
Oh I would certainly say it is sectarian. Although There is at least one republican poster on here who would say it is not (if they are consistent) as they claim it must be directed specifically and only at a religious group to be sectarian, and lots of republicans are not catholic
So you don't think any Loyalist bonfires have mocked the dead? Out of the 230 bonfires lit this year, you think ONE sank as low as this (almost universally condemned) one?
Put your money where your mouth is Downcow, the wager is right there. Charity of your choice. We can even adjust it to spare your blushes; you post each individual fire mocking the dead that you can from the 15th, I'll do the same for the 11th, £20 to the charity of choice for each one unmatched?
They leave because they will be targeted by a group that doesn't want a taidgh about the place, causing disruption, marching where they are not wanted, I mean what honourable group does that.
Seriously can you not understand why nationalists leave? A lot of these would be Middle Class Moderates more likeLy to vote for the SDLP.You must be ignorant of the situation if you think it/s because they can't stand the Butchers Apron everywhere along with UVF/UDA Scum slogans.
Honest question can you think of any Nationalist event that forces Loyalists out of their homes, just one. I bet you can't.
Fionn I have not experienced you as someone who twists what I say. Unfortunately you are this time.
you know what I said. It’s very clear.
Ronan Kerr’s only crime was that he served everyone in the community. I am saying that I don’t think any loyalist bonfire in 2021 showed similar bitterness at such a squeaky clean person who had been murdered by their side.
I assume you failed to find an example hence the frantic goal post moving.
I know that there are many hundreds of bonfires on the 11th night and I know that a percentage are sectarian and nasty. A much higher percentage of the tiny number of republican 15th fires are sectarian and nasty. So a bet around number of examples would be silly.
Lol republican news lol
…and you are sooo out of touch if you think nationalists or catholics do not attend the 12th. I have personally attended it with republican friends. I also know several bands who have catholic members parading at the twelfth.
In other words, you're talking sh*te.
Honest question deserves an honest answer
In my home town the last few Protestant residents bar one household left following a wolf tonnes concert in the local GAA club. Their homes were attacked, mob rule, and windows broken. Unfortunately it was not just the twelfth fortnight they left for, rather it was permanent.
so you wanted one example. If you don’t believe me I’ll give you more info.
Well rather than hurling abuse, maybe you could provide evidence of a loyalist bonfire in 2021 that mocked the murder by unionists of a good person who served the whole community.
if you can’t then have the balls to say you were wrong
How very predictable.
Majority by far of the Nationalist youth, singing and enjoying themselves. Loyalism's children setting themselves on fire and rioting in a fight they don't even understand.
That is the image and some are getting jealous of it. Not a bad thing, maybe loyalism's leaders will step up to the plate.
LOL, next, you'll be telling that your "Republican Friends" were the ones putting the tricolors and other placards on the local bonfire. Do they wear the sash and Butchers Apron as well.
Pat Finucane comes to mind, a solicitor that was only doing his job.
Also why do the victims of the Bloody Sunday Massacre need to insulted regarding the support of soldier F
Why are some Political Posters burnt to a crisp
Finally, why do they feel the need to Burn the Irish Flag, a hate crime in itself, yet no one is ever charged
got a link for that, not that you'd make things up
You certainly won’t get a link to them leaving, same as you’ll not get a link to last weeks attack on the last unionist family. The very same one I referred to who didn’t leave after the GAA concert attack. I can post again the grills on the windows currently, but maybe he has them to stop birds flying into them.
Downcow, is this one of the "bad bits" of the Northern Ireland Protocol (not specifically Nandos but that as a result of Brexit, logistics in Britain are in deep trouble)?
Whilst there are issues across Britain affecting various companies including Nandos and KFC, you even have Scottish pubs running out of beer from a lack of deliveries. Will you admit that the Protocol benefits NI by keeping it aligned with the EU?
'Let them go to the chippie'? That was the Unionist answer when the very clear warning was made that this would happen.
What we here should be seeing is deep deep gratitude from Unionism for fighting for the people of Ireland on the Protocol.
I would say it is one of the irrelevant bits
The supply chain beginning to collapse and no workers for the service industry because of Brexit is 'irrelevant'? Bizarre.
Yes, being insulated from collapsing supply chains sure as hell sounds irrelevant. Can't even follow Sammy's advice and go to the chipper now in Britain.
I would rather be in Uk than Eu any day of the week. Just compare what each has done for us over the decades
You weren't asked to choose between either.
Just being silly now.
And you are in the EU effectively, that;s why you have no supply chain issues atm. Say thanks to Dublin for that, they looked after the interests of everyone in Ireland.
Aye, the EU managed just fine without shooting any of our people.....they've even managed to not spend decades covering up their wrongdoing.
I mean, you never answer ANY questions put to you, but eh, do tell us what you mean by this please?
Are you forgetting that you are a constituent part of the UK? Or do you actually see yourself as some offshoot keen to swallow the handouts from London?
It's a weird way to think of oneself in one's own country I would have thought.
I dunno Fionn, I mean, while the State used EU structural funds to build motorways, I guess it's merely just following on from the Famine Roads that were so generously provided in return for our own food. Same thing right?
Irexit is only 'round the corner.
I have no idea what you are asking. I want to remain in the Uk. That’s hardly shocking as it is what the majority of the people who live here want.
Have you a source for that claim?
Latest polling shows the 'majority' in both jurisdictions want the issue put to a border poll.
The meaning of "us" in that statement is paramount. The "Us" you refer to, was one set of the population that Westminster let rule abhorrently and created 30+ years of violence. The failure to recognise that speaks volumes for your tunnel vision when it comes to the EU/NIP/Brexit.
The majority of the people who live there also want to remain in the EU
