If they are going into one of the empty units in Phase II, i would assume it won't open til indoor dining is allowed.
Cheers. Saves me explaining.
Ryan Tubridy was in town today. Don't know if he was part of the 'launch' 🚽 so to speak.
Brown Thomas in Galway City is up for sale as part of a much larger sale of €4.7 billion.
This seems misleading to me. The corporate side is being sold. This may or may not mean that the Galway branch closes. The Galway branch is not "up for sale".
The sale includes the branches of Brown Thomas in Ireland, including the Galway City branch
Yes. The implication is that the building is being sold & it is closing. This is not the case. The corporate group is being sold. Of course it includes the Galway store.
This is the wrong thread for this. The company is actively for sale. It's nothing to do with individual branches other than they being part of the company.
Unless this means the shop is closing it doesn't belong in this thread.
Not sure when it reopened, but ShakeDog in the Wellpark centre is open again. It wasn't the other week.
Kate's Place, shopping centre oranmore closed its doors after 11 years.
New barbers and n Prospect Hill, think it's called Buddies Barbers. In a former beauty salon unit on the Dean side of the road.
Coco Cafe To Go has opened in the former Vodafone on the corner of Williamsgate St and Eyre Square.
Is red eye coffee in the racecourse business park in Ballybrit closed ?
Separately CoCo closed its branch on Shop street
That's a long time gone.
It's gone or changed names. There's a different place there now but not sure if it's the same owners or completely different
Leaf and Bean I think are where red eye was. They've a cafe in Tuam also.
Article in the Irish Times notes Penney’s are doubling their footprint in the Eyre Square centre down into the ground floor, does this mean New Look/JD are closing? Surprised given both stores still trading well I would have thought

Never mind - ninja'ed
They are some vacant units in the centre, perhaps New Look/JD are moving to other units.
Not opening/closing but related news, that whole shopping centre is up for sale.
Seems cheap. Itll go well above asking price
I'd say read the fine print before you buy...
Well, The building forms part of a combined shopping centre with both Corbett Court and Edward Square Shopping Centre which contains 70 retail units and kiosks. The sale is made up of eight retail units, used by well-known brands such as JD Sports, Great Outdoors, Specsavers, Diesel, Starbucks and Vero Moda.
Is it the whole thing or just 8 units? Wording is confusing
RTE news : Galway's Eyre Square Shopping Centre up for sale
Clear as mud.
Who knew the Eyre Square Shopping Centre was just eight retail units.
The Acticles says the centre of made up of "70 retail units and kiosks", but the centre is made up of several linked centres.
The part the complex with SubCity/Leonidas is Corbert Court, another part is Edward Square. Looks like the part that's for sale is based around the Eyre Square entrance.
Does Zhivago's do much business these days ?
There's 2 shopping centers within that one building which is extremely confusing....
