It's not corruption. Just a poor referee.
Was joking.
Hopefully that’ll be the last time we see Philly McMahon in Croke Park, an absolute embarrassment to the GAA.
.
Thats the biggest shame here. It puts the issue to bed for a lot but its still a valid argument for the ethos of the games long term.
It's a great achievement for a team of amateurs to beat a side receiving professional level funding, in their own stadium, with a crooked referee.
They should celebrate that well, it's a great result.
Split them? Ban them from next years AI!
4 points for Dublin in 55 minutes is bizarre. I genuinely thought they'd shut the game down but they completely lost the head.
Dublin have been the best team in the history of the game, but Dublin fans can't really complain about the cynicism and dirty play of others after that. It was dreadful to watch.
Congrats to Mayo. It's risible seeing certain people trying to dig dublin after their loss. I suppose they've had to wait long enough.
That was the best comeback I remember in a long time
Mayo were hopeless in the 1st half
Of course it's not. Never has a counties style done such damage to the sport. And to think the ulster counties got so much stick and Dublin praise.
Absolutely
Mayo were dead and buried at half time
Oh give over and move over. Show some grace. It's not your day. That's it.
Absolutely delighted for Mayo. Remarkable comeback really after being dead at ht. shambolic performance from Dublin. They had no answers at all.
they turned into a complete bunch of scumbags. Pure filth and thuggery. Got away with it for so long with no pressure on their team. Once it came on they turned I to the true selves.
Enjoy the salty coddle. Up da bleedin' Mayo!
Dubs beat themselves today. Just didn't have the discipline and organisation as the last few years that brought them so much success. Watching them play today was like watching another team be beaten by the dubs the last few years. The strength of that team was that they kept playing the same way no matter of they were ahead or behind. They never gave up. What happened today was they fell apart when under pressure. Lots of hail Mary balls there at the end out of desperation. Couldn't hold on to the ball.
Mayo deserved to win today. Much better team on the day.
This.
To be fair this is probably were their celebrations will end.
In fairness to Mayo, they beat a side that cheated and cheated and cheated, training through the lockdown, perfecting their filthy tactics, to which the ref turned a blind eye so often during the game until even he couldn't ignore the punching, gouging and kicking.
As a Dublin fan we didn’t deserve to win today and it feels like the end of an era. No more Gavin, Cluxton, Connolly, Brogans etc. It was a privilege to witness what was the greatest team in GAA history.
Having said that, the comments on here are disgraceful tonight. Not nice to see at all.
At least we can finally stop talking about splitting counties up though.
Hard luck Dublin. But ye did bottle it in the end. Now for Kerry.
they lost their heads. They didn’t show enough composure. That’s on them...disgusting ? Nope :)
but that Lane shîtshow needs addressing... that is just as toxic and an incompetent refereeing performance as I’ve seen at this level.
Mayo lads literally when they got jaded rugby tackling Dublin lads, pulling arms...Dubs lucky to get a free they in fact often didn’t. Went a ways to facilitate that result...
Ill watch the next match as a neutral, not anti or pro anybody but I’d like to see a referee contribute or able to apply the rules fairly.... to enable a ‘sporting’ spectacle as opposed to ‘that’.
Is this a serious comment?
First team to beat the Dubs in how many years? Dublin have denied on a number of occasions the greatest Mayo team of all time their All Ireland. Do you not understand how big this is for them?
Colm O'Rourke must be reading the thread - "The Greeks, The Romans" 😁
Hello Colm.
Dublin had 3 black cards in 20 minutes and 4 points in 55 minutes.
Brilliant tactics.
Dublin finally beaten and it was themselves who did it, and it didn't take a split!
Congrats to Mayo but some of the celebrations are a bit ott (granted they have beaten Dublin), maybe they know it stops here for them.
Crazy dirt from Dublin at the end there, hope that's not ignored
That's the way they were before they started winning.
Believe me when I say I'm delighted, always liked Mayo ,they need to hold off however, a final to be won
Dublin's nasty side came out when they were under pressure tonight.
Goodbye for 2021 Dublin, close the door on the way out.
