With Tyrone saying they won’t be able to fulfil the fixture next week against Kerry but are willing to play it at a later date. We will see what the GAA do. Depends how flexible they want to be with them.
Tyrone should be kicked out of next year's championship. Questions need to be asked about how come so many got infected and how poorly protocols were being adhered to. If they GAA bend again there won't be a country championship finished in the country until Xmas.

The were offered the extra week and they having been having Covid cases since back in the Ulster final when the manager had it but somehow shockingly the team were not close contacts. Now they get a few more and somehow they have no team to field at all

The Irish News understands several senior players have been struck down.
Sources say that one member has lost a stone in weight while others have been bed bound.
Training sessions have taken place but around one-third of players have been missing.
Pretty harsh anyone having a go at Tyrone players in all of this. At the end of the day they are amateur players, not like professional teams in bubbles etc. The lads all have jobs, family, friends, social lives and especially, up north, are back to a sort of normality. You can pick up Covid in any of them situations, it doesn’t have to have been a party or gathering. They can’t be expected to give all that up for an amateur game.
It’s unfair but every option available is going to be unfair to someone with regards to games being pushed back, long lead in times etc. There was a sense of inevitability that there would be a major outbreak somewhere - I imagine the GAA were hoping it would be in a lower profile game or situation.

They didn't withdraw their teams from the championship. There's a big difference. Your logic is questionable
First, the argumemt that they should just send up a group of randomers to fulfil the fixture. With the conditioning of players at the top level, that could actually be potentially dangerous. And as for Kerry, they'd be better off having a good internal challenge match than playing what would be a farce of a match.
Second point, the finger pointing at Tyrone and potential behaviour that could have led to the surge in cases. The situation in Northern ireland is vastly different to the republic in that their approach to the whole pandemic from their so called leaders at home and abroad has been borderline criminal. In Derry and Tyrone in particular, the virus has been rampant since day one, so I feel sympathy for the Tyrone squad here
Only losers here are the GAA who have made an absolute balls of the whole situation, and will now pay the price financially. The original Tyrone request was reasonable, and this nonsense about impacting the club final is either dishonesty from them, or a stupid argument. Kerry, Mayo and Dublin are inconvenienced by this, but I think thats also being overegged. As long as there is clarity over fixtures, training plans can be adjusted accordingly.
If some of them are having severe symptoms then it is unlikely they were vaccinated. Even without vaccination such symptoms should be rare. I don’t think we have the full story.
So keep the fixture as it is and when Tyrone don’t take the field, it’s tough **** basically ? Kerry go through.

No. You’d assume there’d be an official comment on Monday. They’ll probably use today and tomorrow to decide what if any further accommodations they’ll give to Tyrone to try and get the game played.
Dublin have hardly had a gruelling path to the semi final either 🙄
And what if Kerry had a couple of cases in two weeks. Do they get 2 weeks more to get that sorted or are they going under the bus instead.
Ya, that's the issue. If you postpone for Tyrone, you'd have to do if Kerry end up with cases and you could be looking at end of September for the final if that happens.
Could Monaghan fulfill the fixture. Would 2 weeks be enough time to prepare as a collective?

And this fixing the all Ireland for "this date and this date only". You'd think they were renting the stadium.
It's almost like they've forgotten we played an AIF last year in December.
