Was there rumours of a questionable gathering linked to the Tyrone issue?
I know the covid matters with Wexford hurlers stemmed from a 21st, nobody from the panel attended it but the sibling of a player did and that player and another who tested positive were from the club where the 21st took place.
Hopefully the game is pushed out by a week.
That's utterly mental, especially for a virus that won't even come close to affecting any of them. It's the isolating rules thats the problem.
Push it out another two weeks FFS.
What on earth do you mean? Clearly some of them have it or else they would be able to play.
Yes, some have it, but they cannot train. None of them are sick. They need time. The GAA will not give them that.
This is very much another Newbridge or Nowhere scenario. Croke Park's move.
The GAA brought this on themselves.
Some hard questions need to be asked as to how Tyrone covid protocol seems to have been totally ineffective
I agree. The shortened season did not account for this sort of scenario in any way.
Ah come off it.
Have you been under a rock? Covid and especially Delta can rip through a group in no time.
It's frankly amazing that the Monaghan game went ahead.
Which makes it even more laughable that they gave Tyrone only an extra 6 days.
No harm in asking questions. Plenty rumour out there as to how the cases got into the camp
This. Cork u20s were given a week and a half. Tyrone should have been given two weeks.
And do you think now is the time to ask questions?
When you get the answers tell me what you will do with the info?
Exactly. If they turned around straight off the bat and said "here lads, you have 2 weeks extra but that's it, you have to give a walkover of you can't fulfill the fixture" then I doubt many could have complained.
Now we have this typical GAA shambles that didn't need to happen.
When else would you ask them?
If rumours true, a lesson to all counties/clubs not to ignore the procedures they are to follow.
Reading alot on social media that monaghan should replace tyrone, not a runner given monaghan haven't met up in two weeks. I think it's a bye for kerry
What has been different for Tyrone that the other counties havent had happen?
Yeah.. amatuer players should lock themselves away for a few months to avoid catching Covid. Give up work, family, friends, everything. Utter nonsense.
Were you this vocal when a few Dubs were caught training when they shouldn't have been?
You have to admire the stones on Tyrone.
They are playing hardball with HQ. Give us another week or your wont have any income from the semi final.
we all know the GAA will cave.
If the GAA do come out and give them the two weeks, so move the game to the 28th August, they will need to leave the Final on the 4th Sept and cannot push it out.
Not fair to Mayo or Dublin if they push the final out further as a consequence, it would mean waiting over a month for the final.
But it's fine to have Kerry wait 6 weeks?
It just got very interesting. Surely the GAA will give it another week- it will make a shambles of the championship, especially for Kerry, 6 weeks since the cake walk v Cork and the final.
Yep they got a walkover.
Dublin or Mayo wont have it that they wait a month plus to play a Final IF the Tyrone v Kerry game is pushed out another week and final delayed further.
Push Kerry v Tyrone to 28th, leave Final on the 4th.
So Kerry who have done nothing wrong get a week to prepare for an all Ireland final? Hardly seems fair
Assuming they beat Tyrone in any rescheduled game obviously
Kerry have beaten 3 teams outside of division 1 to make a final
Not their fault but the championship has become a farce, provincial runners up should have been allowed back in.
I take it the bars are still closed in croker? Is it handy enough to get into the hotel once you have covid pass?
Good summary of what I didn't say. Good job.
Bars still closed.
Hotel was residents only with a door man checking when we went in the first day so didnt bother trying it again. May have changed since.
If they have it, they are sick.
