Guys
Live in rural cavan so wildlife being about isn't uncommon. Today I found a dead adult fox in the garden. Definitely dead, as stiff as basil brush. Is there a correct way to dispose of it or just hoof it into the household waste?
Fcuk him into the neighbours garden.
Notify his next of kin
Have you an AED ?
Mount it OP
More seriously. Mulvaneys would take away dead farm animals, but I dunno if theyd take that. Bury it somewhere.
Not sure that is legal. Have you considered stuffing it?
The minute I hit submit I has this feeling of dread.
After Hours you never fail to deliver lol
I think you can sell the tail.
You can try and dispose of it at your own expense.
Place it on the road and contact the council to pick it up.
Also, I've seen these being wrapped apart and ate by wildlife in a short length of time.
Another option is the bin one.(People do it, I don't know about legalities of it tough)
Throw it in a ditch somewhere other than your place
Yeah I would have thought that the crows would be feasting on it. Although perhaps they don't like hacking through skin and prefer if the body is already "bursted" as it would be in a roadkill scenario
Let it decompose naturally if it's not too near the house, else bury it in a shallow grave and again let it decompose naturally
Too close to the house and I have a dog that might start to dig it up.
Ditch down the road I think
Nobody will buy the tail.
Why would you "place it on the road and contact the council to pick it up"?(Thats littering and liable to a fine)
OP, throw it into frshpopcorns garden !!
I blame the Amish.
I know fellas and if they see a dead fox on the side of the road and its fresh they are always mad to get the tail.
However they are involved with people who they know they can sell it to.
Well of the OP doesn't get caught they won't get a fine.
If it's still fresh, some restaurants are known to use it in their kitchens, some years back a health inspector found one in freezer in Carrick-on-Shannon.
Dump it in a ditch somewhere away from your house - another animal will likely carry it off and eat it. Don't put it in the bin as it will stink in a matter of days.
Stew
there ya go
Rare with a few spuds and a drop of sauce and you'll be grand.
Pop it on the barbecue, baste with chilli sauce. Its own mother wouldn't recognise it after that.
Double bag it and it'll be grand in the bin. Make sure to wear disposable gloves and a mask in case it was poisoned and throw them in the bin too.
Throw it in the septic tank
The bacteria is useful
What kind of an eegit would want a tail of a dead fox?
I said dead fox not baby in a Catholic institution
There guys involved the gun club and I know of there's every a dead fox around they want the tail for some reason to sell to people.
Weird.
What happened to all the other foxes that died in Cavan?

Stick it in the freezer in case you think of a use for it later.
Who cares if it's legal.
Cavan's like Vegas. "What happens in Cavan, stays in Cavan."
