more convicted criminals in sf than any other party id say . killers bombers abusers smugglers fraudsters and crooks of all shades .
takes fair commitment to ignore all that
You are being selective about what constitutes your countrymen/women for convenience sake. Hard to take as genuine.
So you support inequality and treating catholics/nationalist like dirt? If Everything was equal up there from day one we'd likely have never had any conflict/troubles, certainly not to the extent we did.
SF are an incredibly normal party with links to the IRA, ex-IRA in their membership. Do you know nothing about FF/FG? As i say, SF are doing well and helped the people in the north greatly. FF/FG can;t acknowledge that or move on past the GFA because they are more concerned about maintaining power not Irish people either side of the border.
Gerry Hutch in SF, do tell? Or is this just more throwing it out there? Desperate stuff Mike.
well no im not . there are two separate countries on this island . if you cant understand that i cant help you
have a wee read about what happened in ulster before partition for your self , its been going on a lot longer than 100 years , you cant blame all you problems on some one else .
sf a normal party helping people ? lol
head over to the gangland thread for the explanation you want to pretend you dont know the link
Again the insinuations and stereotyping and ignoring that there was a conflict/war here not to mention the GFA that dealt with that.
The GFA set the terms for allowing paramilitaries into democratic politics.
Can you itemise specifically how SF have broken the terms of that agreement? I waited almost 25 years before giving them a vote and I carefully assessed their commitment to democracy. What did I miss, that you keep alluding to?
I have no problem with this....this claim seems to stack upto me anyway,in terms of facts(including heavily linked articles within village mag)
I take it,you are happy to see eamonn gilmore and rest of labour party answer qs on what happened the oira arms, and ff finally answer qs on the spiriting of a garda killer (fallon) out of state in a ministerial car.....and yous support calls for drew harris to answer qs on his part in covering up for glennane gang responsible for dub/mon bombings
Two countries? Good one.
You are dodging and throwing mud. Pointless giving you the time of day.
That seems to be your stock answer when confronted.
Like your last effort, this makes no sense. Before you start folding balloons into animals do a little research. Save you looking foolish.
Good stuff, abuse a poster when you are called out.
Carry on.
Why? well I suggest you read the link I already provided on why. It has a view from both sides. Nothing to do with the government either
You just posted asking why would the Irish people want to commemorate an "oppressive force". I had already provided the lin earlier in thread from a BBC article so maybe you should read the thread when you join a conversation to see what has already been discussed.
I find no need to use abuse towards a poster.
'They should get a state commemoration because they were related to me and they were nice', doesn't really cut it as a valid view.
Are you now putting yourself forward as someone who’s view is of importance in deciding who or who doesn’t get a state commemoration.
Bit over the top in my opinion.
My view as a member of the electorate is as valid as anyone's Brendi, you really must remember that.
id say hes as qualified as charlie flannagan, hed hardly do any less harm, and cause any less uproar or disgust from the public anyway brendan bendar .
imagine a free and sovereign state proposing honouring its oppressors and those who collaborated with them .
theres 1 hell of an inferiority complex , and bootlicking want within fine gwael that they even dreamt it up .
circus act with funny painted faces and over sized shoes comes to mind !!!!
So this lady who went to BBC saying she wanted an event doesn't "cut it"
But your view as a member of the electorate does?
Yesterday you wanted event to go ahead only if they met your requirements. You seem to think your opinion is more important than anyone elses according to your own posts
You are mixing yourself up with Mark. While your article might have nothing to do with government, the attempt at a commemoration for the RIC/Tans did. That was the cause of the upset from all parties and the public.
We covered this yesterday.
It my opinion dudley. Whose opinion were you hoping to get?
No I didn't. You are tying yourself in knots. Another person asked that, I gave my opinion/answer.
I was speaking directly to another commentator who like yourself, mistakenly made a comment unrelated to the one I had made and followed it up with another more nonsensical one.
Good man. I find no need to abuse posters too.
You are dishonestly misrepresenting here. People are allowed opinions. Commemorations must be held in accordance with the law.
Dudley favours a free for all. Which is an 'opinion' too. Not one I would agree with either given what some foisted on other communities on this island.
Hmmm…… seems some posters here are not interested in opinion, they want back up and evidence for everything.
Like looking for ‘evidence’ against the ‘Mafia’.
Seems there was a big ‘commemoration’ up in Belfast recently.
Wondering was that in accordance with the regulations which were in train at the time.
Strange times for sure.
Of course, of course, never questioned that.
You claim something to be fact you'll be asked to back it up Brendi.
That some have difficulty doing that is their issue.
Lot of difficulty getting info like that from Connolly House Francie.
Or maybe you can steer me in the right direction…eh?
So why do you arrogantly ridicule, not the opinion itself, but the temerity of someone for expressing an opinion?
Could you expand on this?
Your summation of the RIC undoubtedly applies to the IRA too. So neither should get a commeneration as you say above.
Bit I don't get is why if there is a 32 county Ireland in the future why the IRA are somehow redeemed? Their actions haven't changed.
The cart before the horse again
You get the 'info'/evidence first, then you make the allegation Brendi, you don't make the allegation and then look to those you are accusing to provide you with back up. Absurd stuff again.
Your version of a democratic state is scary as fook tbh. The Stazi wouldn't be out of place in it.
Nobody's actions will have changed.
So the question will be, as it should be now, how do we allow people to commemorate their dead in an inclusive UI?
Good luck with that, Francie…eh…
My version of a democratic state certainly doesn’t include 100 foot bonfires, painted kerb stones .
Areas rife with smuggling, and areas which are hazardous for police, flags flying to denote the areas tradition.
Wouldn’t be too anxious to have much truck with a place like that.
