Gas to see all the hullabaloo on the news just now over a little bit of erosion. Reporters in anoraks prophesying deadly winds and total catastrophe due to climate change. Almost like the so called restrictions have been a trial or testing ground for things to come.

I don't have a great deal of certainty about climate change and don't claim to.
There's been some pretty extreme weather and plenty of records broken just this year.
For Covid, you going with the "it was just a test run" conspiracy? It's a popular one in conspiracy circles at the tail-end of large events where invariably nothing happens.
There was a degree of forcedness to the reporting and other recent reporting I have seen that inclines me towards the belief that some kind of staged-transition is taking place which will shift the focus in newsrooms from scare stories pertaining to covid to scare stories pertaining to the climate. It may be that public resistance to some measures would be softened due to their experiences during the lockdown. Whether you think this would be a good thing or a bad thing depends on your point of view, I guess.

But yeah, covid being a warm up story for climate change stories makes perfect sense.
Theyre getting bored of Covid now because everyone is getting vaxxed and moving on to climate change because of the new climate change report that came out this week. So in a couple of days theyve all become experts and are claming its a hoax.

What I am noticing is that certain individuals clearly can't resist the fantasy of it due to their paranoia of authority - so much so that an entire market has sprung up on the internet catering for those beliefs.
