Waterbreak and Limerick a point up now. The ref is one of the worst I have ever seen but Limerick have really got on top in midfield and are really going now.
Cork 1-8 Limerick 0-12
Couple of great points has us 2 up with 5 min to go
Finished the game very strongly, 1-17 to 0-13. Looked very good at times and poor at times too. Have to remember they are only U17s I suppose
Sorry to see a fella sent off at the end. I thought the ref was very poor and one of the worst I have seen.
Cork really responded well at the end. I think the few subs really drove things on and stopped Limerick from being so on top in midfield.
Hugh O'Connor was very classy. Some great points and he got most of Corks scores.
It is the first time since 2005 that Cork have won all four Munster underage titles between football and hurling in the one season
I actually thought we were very very poor there. So many stray passes, terrible shots wide. Win is a win though.
Win playing poorly.
I'll take it.
I don't know what the Cork lad was sent off for, it happened at the opposite end of the pitch top where the ball was I think. I don't think Cork will win the All-Ireland but a first Munster minor title since 2010 is a nothing to be sniffed at.
ticket situation is a nightmare. Most people I meet are talking about them. As a season ticket holder I will be gutted if we can’t go. For those of us that spend cold winter nights up and down the country going to matches with only 1000 or so at it it will be upsetting not to get to go to an AI.
It was the corner back number 4 Patrick O’Grady was sent off for a second yellow.
Cork’s tickets for the All-Ireland hurling final to be divided per club affiliation
Senior - 26 stand, two Hill 16
Intermediate - 18 stand, two Hill 16
Junior - 12 stand, two Hill 16
Eg, a club senior in one code and intermediate in the other will have 44 stand and four terrace
This is strange. I heard each club got 48 for semifinals with only 24k. Now a junior club gets 14. A lot of tickets for the boys floating around by the sounds of it.
My club got 24 for semi final not 48. 48 would be a club with double affiliation. We were expecting to get a lot more than 14 for the final given it's an increased attendance from the semi so wondering where all the rest are gone.
will clubs in every other county get tickets as before?
Yes, all counties are getting an allocation. It seems that these are small enough, but even a couple of hundred tickets per County is several thousand overall.
Every club in the GAA can get 2 tickets - 4 in a normal year. Some of these won't be taken up so may come back to the counties.
This is going to be a nightmare for clubs to manage tickets. We have requests for 50+ tickets and we got 14. These have to be in pods of 2 so no single tickets. Then try to track down tickets for those who aren't accommodated.
Where is the information coming from that senior intermediate and junior clubs are getting different tickets.
From the county board.
Did anyone else get a email from the County Board saying tickets will be allocated to 2020 season ticket holders for purchase?
The U20 hurling final against Galway is now on a day later. So its on Wednesday 18th August at 7.30 in Thurles
I’m a standard season ticket holders. My email address was eircom they started charging for using email so I stopped using it. Were tickets offered to standard season ticket holders or club season ticket holders
I'm a standard ticket holder.
Ohhh the excitement
They've now been offered to both
You'll need access to your email because you have to confirm your interest by Monday.
Is there a time limit to accepting the ticket
9 o'clock Monday morning
I filled in the form but I didn't get an email back acknowledging they had received it.
I don't trust the GAA.I bet they will say they didn't receive the filled in form from some applicants and get out of having to give tickets to some people that way.
really, haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else
Oh yeah, years of mistrust are telling me that this is far too good to be true and bound to be a cockup somewhere along the line.
