Still forensic could tell turkey from human blood
wrong pic sorry cant seem to delete
For me, the drug issue is another red herring.
Most stoners I have known are totally docile and the last people to anger.
She'll say it was sarcasm, ya know, bog standard British "dark humour". The authorities have gobbled that up before.
I’m almost certain that’s Peter Bielecki?
IB has been detained for 24 hours over the two previous arrests, as far as I know 24 hours is the most you can be held without charge for an offence like murder.
So he can be arrested again. wasn't it only him and Jules arrested, was Jules arrested twice?
It is up to 24 hours each time you are arrested under section 4
If someone helped the murderer wash bloody clothes then the murderer would know who that person was. I don't think there would be as much information in the public domain about this confession if it would put someone in danger.
This suggests to me that, for one reason or another, the murderer is no longer a threat to the person who helped wash the clothes.
It also suggests that the murderer is not a threat to the elderly local who has made the recent statement.
Well you would like to think they wouldnt make it public if it put the confessor at risk from the murderer but you never know.
You're right it could suggest that either the murderer or the person who helped washed the clothes is dead. Hopefully this leads somewhere - it will be very difficult to prove though given the passage of time and no worthwhile forensic evidence.
the murderer is unlikely to harm the elderly local or confessor . there would be no escaping now with forensics and the gardai could be watching him and probably are if they think there is a risk
No.
They protect their own, always have done and always will do unless they are properly investigated for corruption & severe incompetence. Thankfully now under this current Garda Commissioner, its starting to happen even though its slow and corruption is no doubt common across the force at this stage. So its a big job & will take time. GSOC who you love to quote have been found on multiple occasions to be a completely pointless organisation, they actually rely on the co-operation of the gards themselves and have little to know statutory powers in relation to investigating them. Where was GSOC in helping the whistle blowers, nowhere, they are a complete waste of time.
I'm not saying everyone was in on it but what I am saying is that a senior gard in the local community would be able to steer the direction of the investigation in a certain manner & possibly call in one or two favours from other senior gards locally, gards he would no doubt have had dirt on already.
Its a theory that has as much credibility as your theory that Bailey without doubt committed this crime. Zero DNA/fingerprint evidence connecting bailey to the crime, zero motive, extremely bizzare behaviour that he would cover the crime extensively immediately after her passing & on top of this stay in the local area ever since for close to 25 years. Amongst many many other reasons which points to Bailey's innocence & points to Garda corruption. But continue to keep your head in the sand. Maybe in time if you or a family is a victim of garda corruption in this country, you might change your tune.
The hiking boots are by far the easiest to slip on if you were going out for a smoke.
Wellies are a pain to put on (and take off). We've two pairs of wellies at the door and two pairs of hiking/walking shoes that are now "garden" shoes.
I don't think the wellies have been worn for over a year!
Her footwear is only relevant in that it shows the attack didnt originate in the house. If it did, the last thing one would be worrying about is putting on boots. You'd be running barefoot immediately. This is backed up by the fact there was zero signs of any struggle in the house.
I came across this video 4 behavioural experts discussing IB's body language and what it could be interpreted as, very very interesting conclusions.
Shin
Eh!! you could easily 'slip on' hiking boots that were laced up with a double knot up to the top?
Do u always leave your hiking boots laced up to the top, so you can slip them on.. as it's easier than wellies beside them?
People are asking why she put boots on.
The most plausible answer is that she was having a smoke.
That's daily mail level sh1te no matter what they say
I wouldn't even waste time watching it.
After due consideration... Nah, I don't buy it.
Even with forensics in the stone age back then, I cannot see any murderer worth his salt allowing somebody else to aid him in washing blood off his clothes.. That's another pair of eyes, and a potentially loose tongue in years to come.
The person who helped the murderer must have known they were involved in some seriously heavy stuff.
Unless is was a Mother / Son scenario? - Didn't some previous poster state that a young fellow left shortly after the murder, never to return home again?? What was the story there?
Reading between the lines, it looks like the person who shared the information is now living abroad somewhere?
So why would they implicate themselves by telling another person in the village? Unburden their guilty conscious? Hardly, they had no bones about watching an innocent man being hounded for Sophie's death for years.. (That's assuming the person currently living abroad is critical to the actual murder)
But lets just say that Jimmy's Mother confided in the local Landlord or Coffee shop owner, and said poor Jimmy came home in an awful state covered in blood, said he was after falling after being at a party... Don't say anything or the Gards will be around to the house along with the camera's and media ect... besides, the Gards have that Bailey fellow nailed on for the murder anyways...
Even if Jimmy was visited by the Gards today.... It's all hearsay, your word against mine... Don't know what you're talking about..
Case goes cold again.
Do you even know she was a smoker? And even if she was, the killer happens to be outside at the time just when she is having a fag, Cmon
Nope, all I'm saying is it is a plausible explanation as is her putting the boots on to go and open the gate for someone.
Quite right,
But I would have to qualify your points:
1) Police corruption is, and always has been, a problem in every country.
2) there are many, many, honest, hard working guards who are not corrupt.
however, given was is documented about this case, Garda corruption must be suspected.
Not why she put them on , why she had them on.
Maybe she had put them on to keep her feet warm in the house.
@flanna My reading of the article extract was that the elderly local man now making the statement had discussed it with someone in the last year who is 'now living in Europe'.
The article didn't identify where the person who confessed to him in 2001 is now or where the person who they helped wash bloody clothes is now.
ok thanks. I didn't know what he looked like
Why couldn't they open the gate themselves? was it locked? Surely they would just get out of the car and open it. It would be done while she was putting her shoes on
Ok.... I see.
If anything, makes it more complicated?
The case gets more bizarre as time goes by..
It is total trash pop psychology. They are attention seeking as Bailey and there is no science behind it
So why would they implicate themselves by telling another person in the village? Unburden their guilty conscious? Hardly, they had no bones about watching an innocent man being hounded for Sophie's death for years
For years could be why. These things play on mind every day for years. One thing he getting off but another getting Bailey blamed
Looks like there were slipons which could have satisfied a short trip outside.
Another angle; considering the laced up boots, had she possibly gone further for the view and returned to surprise a peeper at the gate?
From podcast she did not have bedroom curtains.
