Has anyone eaten at the new cafe across from Henneberry's - Dubai, I think it's called?
Someone asked recently was the Stationhouse in Blennerville closed down. Apparently it is closed down! The guy who was running it has opened a place in Abbeydorney now.

There's a new sushi restaurant opening in Caheranne village this weekend. Best of luck to them https://www.kerrysushi.com/
Best of luck to him, at least in Blennerville there would be a good bit of passing summer trade or maybe Abbeydorney is busier than I think!
I think one of the lads that was involved in Croí is involved in this now..
No....not that one....
No, not him either.... It's the third fella 😉
Oh I didn't realise that. They have been doing a delivery service for a while. I'm looking forward to trying it out.
Sushi in Strand Road...I've heard it all now!!😆😆
No loss. Went in with a group of friends a few years ago for a meal and was wrongly accused of not paying for the meal after we all paid our part of the bill. Never set foot inside again.
As for abbeydorney. Finally somewhere to eat in the place. Not sure I'll be a customer though. 😔
A far cry from the days of a milky coffee and coleslaw and chips in the ould Allegro!
Anyone else have problems with their broadband today - mine just came back on in the last half an hour?
You'd have to tell people who your provider is....I'm with eircom and it's been perfect all day
There seems to be a new shop going in next to Four Star Pizza in Ivy Terrace. I think its a shop, might not be, not sure, just says 'Vogue' coming soon.
It also appears as though Rockalily in Castle street may be closed down? It hasn't been opened for a few weeks now. Last time I was in she had a sale on all the stock. Not sure what is happening as I thought she relocated there just before Christmas, so hopefully she will reopen soon.
Hi,new here, just hoping someone might know of a dentist in Tralee (or anywhere in Kerry at this stage ) that still accepts medical cards.ive tried so many and none of them are accepting patients that hold medical cards.in absolute agony ,any advice greatly appreciated
I think every dentist in town has stopped taking on new patients with medical card.
There's a Facebook group called "Tralee do you know" join and type in dentist in the search bar and you'll see the same question has been asked a few times...seems people have to travel out of town
Try Marcus Mac Domhnaill in Rock St. He was taking med card patients earlier this year. Fantastic dentists.
Hi in Tralee for a few days any good Indian restaurant s about
thanks in advance
We don't have any true Indian restaurants in town.... The Indian Castle on upper Castle Street is ok... Grill & Thrill which is lower castle street is a step up imo.
Royal India in Barrack lane (just off the mall) is probably the pick of the bunch though
Grill and thrill is more Lebanese than Indian.
Great food.
Best falafel ever!
Thanks very much
Maybe getting mixed up with that newish Dubai café?
There's nothing Lebanese about Grill & thrill...mainly Indian, kebabs and piri piri by Irfan.
He actually had a top notch Indian chef from Glasgow before the lockdown, unfortunately he left....he wasn't doing anything during the lockdown , so he was very happy to be open again
There seems to be a new business going into the empty unit between the Slieve Mish and the Asian supermarket in Castle st. Not sure yet what it is, just being fitted out.
The 'Pop-up Drive-in Cinema' in the Aqua Dome carpark this weekend has been cancelled, due to poor ticket sales! I would say the price of the tickets had a lot to do with it! Nice idea, but they need to re-think prices!
Was it not €25 per car ? split between 4/5 people would have been cheaper than the cinema.
It was announced as about €53 per car....they then announced an early bird, if you booked by certain date it was €38 or some price close to that
I saw on Facebook that 7th heaven bistro is closing down, due to the on going restrictions and some personal reasons/decisions.
Excuse my ignorance but where was 7th Heaven. Never heard of it.
T.
Ashe St across from the court house.
I think that's largely why they are shutting down ...very few people knew about it and it just wasn't popular in the area, there were too many other choices on the street
saw a Garda cordon and squad car by the river next to Oakview village this afternoon and hoped it wouldn't be a tragic event. Sadly that is the case...
