Trump Steaks would make a fortune today, even if it was all the MAGAs giving themselves food poisoning to own the libs.
Some of those were voting for Republican, purely based on they wouldn't ever vote democrat, doesn't mean they're voting for trump
In that case.... they're still delusional. If they wouldn't ever vote Democrat, but aren't necessarily enthused about Trump, then maybe don't vote at all. If they do vote, and vote for Trump, then that means they view the man as the lesser of two evils, and I think that says it all about their perception of reality.
That's really what hit the dems in 2016 with Hillary. I don't think he'll run as he's in an awful state physically and mentally, but if he did, then a lot of what's been exposed November - January in his last few months would have turned off the middle ground.
His base will be solid, but it's nowhere near enough for an electoral college victory, the question is whether he knows that and everything at the moment is just a show to try and stave off legal and financial issues or if he really is completely delusional and thinks the numbers are there for him after listening to a few sycophants.
If I was betting, I'd say there will be some "medical issue" in the next few years that will "prevent" him from running and he'll try and use that to coronate a successor.
If Trump's physical health deteriorated that badly, I don't think he'd admit it. He wouldn't publicise his trouble as a medical problem and instead come up with some other cover story. He cannot stand anything that he thinks makes him look weak.
Assuming that legal issues, financial issues and health issues were not severe enough to stop him running again (and these are three huge assumptions), he would at least explore the option. The existence of a cohort consisting of millions of people who hang on your every word and see you as some sort of demigod must be absolutely intoxicating to a narcissist like Trump, and I expect him to try to keep that train rolling for as long as circumstances allow. Besides, Trumpism is done once Trump stops being the face of it. His successors are people who, at best, are doing a thin imitation of the man. They range from a handful of screeching Karens regurgitating Facebook comments in the US legislature to some more measured operators who think they can water down the rhetoric enough to pull back in some moderates, but forgetting that it's the scorched earth rhetoric of Trump which galvanised so many in the first place.
I didn't make the claim of protestors brandishing guns inside the Capital building. I was merely saying 'show me the money' to highlight the rampant misinformation and disinformation on display here.
Typical trumpian response - "accuse others of what you are guilty of".
I've no doubt he'll try and downplay whatever happens, but it would be unavoidable.
No bigger purveyor of it than your good self obviously
In fairness, he just plagiarised the misinformation of others.
What a pathetic ****ing grifter
Really has the flavour of those dodgy adverts that used to appear in Sunday newspaper supplement magazines that was like (I'm heavily summarising, here) "Greetings, friend. I used to be broke, wondering where my next meal would be coming from and how I would pay my rent. One night, laying in bed, I had a revelation - I realised the secret of AMAZING SUCCESS. A secret so simple that I wonder why everyone doesn't know it. Do you want to know this amazing secret? A secret that will make you richer than your wildest dreams? Well, send me 20 Euros by postal order to the address below and I will personally send out a package of 20 booklets and 10 CDs which will explain this short, simple secret to you."
Eh? They were armed - bear mace, sticks, fire extinguishers,... Who made a claim about protestors brandishing guns inside the Capitol building? Should be easy for you to find it and quote. Thanks.
He’d walk up to the podium with a burst colonoscopy bag and say “hey… I didn’t hear no bell” the crowd would cheer. If Biden coughed too hard they’d scream for impeachment.
Trump and a colonoscopy bag have it in common that they're both full of the same thing. But, yes, I could imagine a crowd cheering hard for that. More depressingly, I bet it wouldn't even be the most bizarre thing he'd do in a calendar year of campaigning.
I think you're overestimating it as bad news... The public are getting use to a normal presidency again. The sitting president is enjoying far greater approval levels than Trump experienced. Trump is rapidly becoming a historical bad taste who egged on a riot...
Or will he be up to his tangerine todger in legal trouble?
Will he be as mentally sharp and be able to recite "woman man person camera tv"?
Something he never does? Nearly every campaign email in the run up to the election was saying he'd 500% match their donations!
Or will he be in prison?
I whole heartily agree with Jr’s tweet (holy **** there’s something I never thought I’d say)
It would mean Republicans would be absolutely annihilated in every election considering they have half the vaccination rates of Democrats. I knew the guy was dense but that's next level buffoonery right there.
Continuing to display the "stable genius" hallmark of this branch of the Trump family.
This would be awesome news for the dems and Biden, trump is a loser, this would just match his loser count to his impeachment count. I still don't think he'll run, he's nowhere near as fit physically or mentally as Biden (and it will be Biden, not Kamala).
I want the snake oil!!!
Yes, Biden is well educated, intelligent and knowledgeable about his job. Trump is none of those things and is also delusional. So Biden is far fitter mentally. It's not that hard to understand unless your one of Donnie's brain-dead followers.
Trump was never the sharpest tool in the box. His lifestyle choices have curdled what little he had in the first place. At this point i wouldn't trust him to run lemonade stand. Not that at any point in his life would any sane person trust him to run anything.
Trump was also terrifically lazy when it came to being President. Most independent reports say that Trump spent an inordinate amount of time during a typical work day tweeting and watching cable news, either up in his residence or in the dining room next to the oval office. It seems that Trump's main attraction to the job was the perks and not the nitty gritty work.
I don’t think Trump will run in 2024 but I’m sure he will continue to tease it in order to cause the Democrat’s media handmaiden's heads to collectively explode.
Trump has raised $102 million since leaving the White House to spread around and help Republicans in the 2022 mid-terms and the 2024 presidential election. Pretty good job of raising money since social media giants and the mainstream media have worked tirelessly to make sure his voice isn’t heard and continually tell lies about him, ad nauseam.
Any response to my question about guns at the 6 January insurrection? This one: https://www.boards.ie/discussion/comment/117690778#Comment_117690778
So, where's the post you claim exists from someone claiming guns brandished at the insurrection? Still waiting. Thanks
The only thing Trump is giving is his name to the other republican candidates I would be pretty confident he is not sharing a cent out of his portion of the money raised in the PAC the only bit will be the % that is allocated to the party the largest share is lining his pockets. There is enough evidence down the years that he does not pay his bills in full nor timely so why in god's name would he change his MO now?
