Awfully dramatic in this thread here recently. Great to have the economy and vaccine rollout setting off like a rocket in recent weeks. Seeing the queues of teenagers at vaccine clinics this morning was lovely to see also :)

There was a lot of roaring and screaming and bluster when Ireland fell behind in the vaccine stakes earlier on in the year.. in fact, many an opposition TD made reference to the fact that the North was way ahead of Ireland....
Now, Ireland has actually caught up and overtaken the UK, and we shouldn't even mention it?
The vaccine rollout has been a huge success, yet apart from sour grapes from some, we cannot even mention the fact or chalk it up as a success! I wonder why! Perhaps that would involve giving the government a bit of credit?

You can celebrate the success of the rollout without the macabre competition. Getting this wrong means people die, real people.

What is going on in FG were a junior minister sets up a sting to catch the senior minister who is doing the leaking?
The question what can they do the minister that leaked the zappone appointment? After all Leo Varadkar was supported over his leaking of a confidential document so if this minister is sacked does this mean Varadkar needs to go as well?

Watching this Zappone's crony appointment play out, it seems to me that FG supporters are easily encouraging bad practice and undemocratic acts worse than FF ever did. We also have no sense at how many other crony appointments are taking place but it's definitely a common and accepted practice. This one was leaked by accident.

Nobody is denying the success of the vaccination programme.
The ISSUE is behaving like Jamie Bryson or several belligerent Unionist posters here. Gloating about something that has cost the lives of many everywhere and sustaining a macabre competition about it. We also have posters with no shame or real interest in victims doing that here to score political points.
It is disgusting to see and a shame our government parties are at it too.
